NASA, Free-Floating Planets and the Accuracy of God's Word
I was just reading a NASA press release entitled Free-Floating Planets May be More Common Than Stars". It concerns the recent discovery of so-called "Free-Floating Planets". The press release states in part:
What I find so amazing regarding this discovery, is the fact that almost two thousand years ago, in the New Testament, in describing the unbelieving Jews who infiltrated the First Century Christian fellowships, the writer Jude made the following comment: "These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever." Jude 1:12, 13, KJV While the Bible is not a science textbook per se, when it does make scientific claims, sooner or later, man discovers that they are precise, factual and true. Of course, considering that God is the Creator of the Universe, should we really be surprised by the accuracy of the scientific tidbits which He has chosen to include in His written Word?
