THE URANTIA BOOK : A DANGEROUS NEW AGE DOCTRINE!

Some time ago, the following erroneous statement was made by
Dr. Byron Weeks concerning the relationship between Jesus
Christ and the Archangel Michael:

"According to the Urantia Book, The Archangel was the
"Archangel OF Michael" for Michael is the Heavenly title or
name of Jesus, who is the Creator of this "Local Universe."
Melchizedek is one of His Sons, and Not Jesus Christ.
"Michael" has a whole hierarchy of Sons which include
Lucifer, and his subordinate, Satan..."

In quite a few of my other articles, I have sounded the
alarm for the many lies and inaccuracies which are being
espoused and propagated in this current 'Age Of Deception'
by New Age thought advocates and other self-styled false
prophets of the Endtime. The above quote is clearly another
example of the strong delusion which is overcoming those who
have rejected God's holy unerring Word, the Bible. But, as I
have pointed out elsewhere, this is all in fulfillment of
words which were spoken almost two thousand years ago such
as the following:

"For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets,
and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it
were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."
(Matthew 24:24)

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound
doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to
themselves teachers, having itching ears;" (2 Timothy 4:3)

"...because they received not the love of the truth, that
they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them
strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:"
(2 Thessalonians 2:10b-11)

While I have read parts of the Urantia Book, I will readily
admit that I have not read it in its entirety. However, to
be honest, based on what I have read thus far, and the grave
errors that I have seen in it, I have no intentions of
reading the remainder any time soon, if ever. Considering
the above quoted material, plus another letter written by
Dr. Weeks in 1996, (which I will shortly quote below), I
have no doubt whatsoever that the Urantia Book is just
another product of New Age psychobabble. According to what I
have read, it was 'received' as a collection of papers from
so-called 'spiritual entities' during the first half of the
twentieth century, under conditions which seem very similar
to me to New Age channeling.

Regardless of the source of its origin, it is absolutely
clear to me that the primary motivation behind writing the
Urantia Book was to strike a mortal blow at the credibility
of, and The Truth found within, the pages of the Holy Bible.
It is for this reason that I prefer to call it the Unbelief
Book, as its sole purpose is to rob one's faith in the Bible
as the inspired Word of God. As will be seen by Mr. Week's
letter below, the Urantia Book strike at the very heart of
Christianity, at the Cornerstone of our Faith, which is the
redemptive Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross at Calvary. I
do not recommend that any Christian, particularly young
Christians who are new in the Faith and not yet grounded in
the True Word of God, read this demonic work of darkness. If
you do, you may find yourself seriously doubting your
Christian heritage! As far as I can tell, the voice or
entity which inspired this book is definitely NOT of God. As
John warns us in his first epistle:

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits
whether they are of God: because many false prophets are
gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1)

My words may seem very harsh indeed; however, after reading
the following excerpts, I am sure you will understand why my
reaction to this material is so strong; particularly if you
are a Bible-believing Christian like myself. Here then is
Dr. Byron Week's letter of 1996:

Dear Ms. Wallace,

Thank you for being concerned about the condition of my
soul.

I suggest that we rethink our concepts about the nature of
God and Jesus, after reading the following references from a
modern epochal revelation, The Urantia Papers, which are
given at the end of a dispensation.

The atonement doctrine was largely from the ideas of Paul of
Tarsus, who had never even met Jesus in the flesh. It is
almost identical to the Mithraic doctrine, a pagan belief in
atonement by the barbaric shedding of blood, common in
Tarsus (Tarshish) in Asia Minor where Paul spent his youth.
I have yet to find in the Bible where Jusu bar Jussef said
that He was going to die to "atone for the sins of mankind!"
Sure, He laid down His life even though He could have saved
Himself at any time, for His Father's will was that He go
through death just as Man must do.

Could it be that you fundamentalists are the ones who are
insulting God by your primitive belief system? God is a God
of love, not of vengeance.

THE ATONEMENT DOCTRINE

Urantia Book, Paper 4, Page 59

Religious tradition is the imperfectly preserved record of
the experiences of the God-knowing men of past ages, but
such records are untrustworthy as guides for religious
living or as the source of true information about the
Universal Father. Such ancient beliefs have been invariably
altered by the fact that primitive man was a mythmaker.

Line-3 Para-1

One of the greatest sources of confusion on Earth
(Urantia) concerning the nature of God grows out of the
failure of your sacred books clearly to distinguish between
the personalities of the Paradise Trinity and between
Paradise Deity and the local universe creators and
administrators. During the past dispensations of partial
understanding, your priests and prophets failed clearly to
differentiate between Planetary Princes, System Sovereigns,
Constellation Fathers, Creator Sons, Superuniverse Rulers,
the Supreme Being, and the Universal Father. Many of the
messages of subordinate personalities, such as Life Carriers
and various orders of angels, have been, in your records,
presented as coming from God himself. Urantian religious
thought still confuses the associate personalities of Deity
with the Universal Father himself, so that all are included
under one appellation.

The people of Urantia continue to suffer from the
influence of primitive concepts of God. The gods who go on a
rampage in the storm; who shake the earth in their wrath and
strike down men in their anger; who inflict their judgments
of displeasure in times of famine and flood--these are the
gods of primitive religion; they are not the Gods who live
and rule the universes. Such concepts are a relic of the
times when men supposed that the universe was under the
guidance and domination of the whims of such imaginary gods.
But mortal man is beginning to realize that he lives in a
realm of comparative law and order as far as concerns the
administrative policies and conduct of the Supreme Creators
and the Supreme Controllers.

The barbarous idea of appeasing an angry God, of
propitiating an offended Lord, of winning the favor of Deity
through sacrifices and penance and even by the shedding of
blood, represents a religion wholly puerile and primitive, a
philosophy unworthy of an enlightened age of science and
truth. Such beliefs are utterly repulsive to the celestial
beings and the divine rulers who serve and reign in the
universes. It is an affront to God to believe, hold, or
teach that innocent blood must be shed in order to win his
favor or to divert the fictitious divine wrath.

Paper-4 Section-5 Para-5 Page-60 Line-31 Para-4

The Hebrews believed that "without the shedding of
blood there could be no remission of sin." They had not
found deliverance from the old and pagan idea that the Gods
could not be appeased except by the sight of blood, though
Moses did make a distinct advance when he forbade human
sacrifices and substituted therefore, in the primitive minds
of his childlike Bedouin followers, the ceremonial sacrifice
of animals.

The bestowal of a Paradise Son on your world was
inherent in the situation of closing a planetary age; it was
inescapable, and it was not made necessary for the purpose
of winning the favor of God. This bestowal also happened to
be the final personal act of a Creator Son in the long
adventure of earning the experiential sovereignty of his
universe. What a travesty upon the infinite character of God
! This teaching that his fatherly heart in all its austere
coldness and hardness, was so untouched by the misfortunes
and sorrows of his creatures, that his tender mercies were
not forthcoming until he saw his blameless Son bleeding and
dying upon the cross of Calvary!

But the inhabitants of Urantia are to find
deliverance from these ancient errors and pagan
superstitions respecting the nature of the Universal Father.
The revelation of the truth about God is appearing, and the
human race is destined to know the Universal Father in all
that beauty of character and loveliness of attributes so
magnificently portrayed by the Creator Son who sojourned on
Urantia as the Son of Man and the Son of God.

What blatant lies! What heresies are being committed in the
Holy Name of Truth! I will be the first to admit that the
Bible, due to manipulations in the past by the so-called
'Church Fathers' and others, is not complete. There were
many scrolls, manuscripts and books whose contents were
deemed either false, uninspired or inaccurate by those who
compiled our modern Bible. I have no doubt that there are
other things which have been purposely hid from us because
those who have controlled religion for the past several
thousand years either don't want us to know about them, or
else they feel that we are not yet ready to accept them.
Even the Apostle Paul felt obligated to withhold some of the
deeper Truths from the young Christians of his day:

"Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered,
seeing ye are dull of hearing. For when for the time ye
ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again
which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are
become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of
righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth
to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of
use have their senses exercised to discern both good and
evil." (Hebrews 5:11-14)

On the other hand, could it also be that some of these
manuscripts and scrolls have purposely been kept from us for
some ulterior reason? Could it be that those who came into
religious power beginning several hundred years after Christ
and the Original Disciples, were afraid that those scrolls
might expose the lies of their own false religious system
which they have forced down the throats of countless
millions since then? In short, as I explained in my article
'The Book Of Enoch: Truth Or Heresy?', our spiritual course
has been neatly and carefully served to us by those in power
since the early centuries of the Christian Era.

It is for the above reasons that I will sometimes read other
Apocryphal and Pseudepigraphical works which happen to come
my way in order to try to fill in some of the gaps. In
reading such materials, I will always compare them with the
Holy Scriptures in order to see how well they stand up to
The Truth contained in accepted Scriptures. If there is
general agreement, or an expansion of what is already
revealed in the Bible, if I feel the same Spirit and
Inspiration in the writing, then I might be willing to
accept it.

In following this process with the Urantia Book, it fails
miserably in every regard. From what I have read, seen and
been told by some of its supporters, the Urantia Book is
basically telling us that the Bible is so full of errors,
misconceptions, myths and inaccuracies, that we should just
throw it out and accept this modern work of theosophy. In
fact, I have had adherents of the Urantia Book tell me that
they use the 'Encyclopedia Of Biblical Errancy' to prove
that the Bible is severely flawed! These are the very people
who claim to be the 'New Christians'. What audacity! Why in
the world should we just throw out a Work which has saved
literally millions, if not billions of souls over the past
two thousand years, and replace it with some unknown
so-called modern 'revelation'? Just as Paul warned Timothy,
the Urantia Book, the Unbelief Book, is literally full of
the doctrines of devils; the primary one being its rejection
of the necessity of the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ:

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times
some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing
spirits, and doctrines of devils;" (1 Timothy 4:1)

Contrary to these false claims being made in the Urantia
Book, I sincerely believe that what we do have in the modern
Christian Bible is accurate and true, particularly God's
method of Salvation through Jesus Christ His Son. I believe
that through His Power and Wisdom, God has made sure, that
He has absolutely guaranteed, that the basic and most
important Truths in the Bible have remained intact for these
past six millennia. To doubt this, is to doubt God's
omnipotence; which I for one do not. God's spoken and
written Word will endure forever:

"He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he
commanded to a thousand generations." (Psalms 105:8)

"LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven."
(Psalms 119:89)

"Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy
righteous judgments endureth for ever." (Psalms 119:160)

"The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our
God shall stand for ever." (Isaiah 40:8)

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth
for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of
man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the
flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord
endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel
is preached unto you." (1 Peter 1:23-25)

This idea of replacing God's proven Word with this New Age
'revelation' seems very sinister to me. This is the very
same tactic Satan used on Adam and Eve in the Garden of
Eden. He tried to get them to doubt God's Word, or to make
it sound like it meant something which it didn't. Consider
again how Satan was successful in causing Eve to become
confused and doubt God's Word:

"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field
which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman,
Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the
garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of
the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of
the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said,
Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye
die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not
surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat
thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as
gods, knowing good and evil." (Genesis 3:1-5)

You see, just like these New Age false prophets he uses,
Satan innocently approached Eve to get a 'clarification' of
the matter; as if maybe he, or she, had misunderstood what
the Lord had said. 'Didn't God say you could eat of every
tree of the Garden, Eve?' Of course, he already knew what
her answer would be: 'Oh yes, all except for that one over
there'. That is when Satan struck his mortal blow and made
her wonder why the Lord was withholding that particular Tree
from them. Under the guise of wanting to 'enlighten' Eve,
Satan told his boldest lie and accused God of being a liar:
'You won't die, Eve. God lied to you! You will be just like
Him!' Of course, we know what Jesus said about Satan some
four thousand years later:

"...He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in
the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he
speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar,
and the father of it." (John 8:44)

When Jesus wandered in the wilderness for forty days and
nights prior to beginning His ministry, Lucifer likewise
used the same tactic to try to twist the meaning of the
Scriptures and to make Jesus doubt His Father's Word: 'IF
thou be the Son of God...'

You see, Satan knows that if he can get you to doubt God's
Word, then eventually he may be able to get you to doubt God
Himself. It all seems so innocent enough at first until you
realize where it is leading. What makes New Age thought even
more dangerously deceptive, is that there are morsels of
Truth mixed in with the lies! After all, unless you put a
little real bread or cheese in the trap, the mouse will
never go for it. By the time he realizes his error, it is
too late! Down comes the spring and smashes his skull or
breaks his neck! Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God,
represents the True Revelation. He is the living Word of
God. This new 'revelation', the Urantia Book, is just like
the piece of cheese in the mousetrap. It is a very subtle
attempt to set up a new faith, with a new word of god, with
a new god. It almost seems like the original, but it isn't.
It is a cheap counterfeit! In thinking about this, I was
reminded of the following interesting verse from one of the
Endtime prophecies of Daniel:

"And he shall speak great words against the most High, and
shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to
change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand
until a time and times and the dividing of time."
(Daniel 7:25)

Throughout the Bible, we discover that the words 'word' and
'law' are interchangeable. For example, the Psalms of David
are literally full of verses which exalt the Word, or Law,
of God. Psalm 119 is a primary example of this. Consider
these examples:

"BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by
taking heed thereto according to thy word." (Psalms 119:9)

"Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin
against thee." (Psalms 119:11)

"The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of
gold and silver." (Psalms 119:72)

"Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall
offend them." (Psalms 119:165)

"My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments
are righteousness." (Psalms 119:172)

In the verse from Daniel we see that the Endtime leader
known as The Beast is going to seek to change times and
laws. If you really think about it, this is exactly what
Satan has been doing since the Garden of Eden. In order to
bring himself to power, he must first pervert or change the
True Law, the Word of God. He was successful in convincing
Eve that she had misunderstood the Law of God, and he has
been quite successful ever since then. Not only has he been
perverting The Truth of God by introducing modern versions
of the Bible which contain subtle changes, but he has also
been attempting to change 'times', or history, as well so
that the story of the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ is slowly
being converted into just one of many other religious
'myths' believed by the 'ignorant' masses. Once he has
accomplished this goal, he will then proceed to the next
step of his plan which is to exalt himself above the Throne
of God:

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the
morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst
weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I
will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the
stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the
congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above
the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet
thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the
pit." (Isaiah 14:12-15)

As I have explained in various Endtime articles, Lucifer
will finally get his wish in the form of the Antichrist,
that is, the Beast of the Book of Revelation. In that day,
which may not be too far off in the future, the word of the
Antichrist, or Beast, will be as the Word of God to the
unbelieving world; that is, to those who have blindly and
stubbornly rejected the Bible and not discerned the signs of
the times. Satan, or his human vehicle the Antichrist, will
actually sit in the Temple of God in Jerusalem, claiming
that he IS God:

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not
come, except there come a falling away first, and that man
of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and
exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is
worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God,
shewing himself that he is God." (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)

So how does all of this tie in with the Urantia Book? It is
really quite simple. As I have already stated, in order to
deceive people, Satan must include some morsels of Truth in
his web of lies. This is precisely what the Urantia Book
does. It doesn't deny that Jesus Christ is a son of God; it
simply states that He is not THE Son of God. According to
the Urantians, Jesus is just one of many 'Creator Sons'. He
is demoted from His unique status as THE Son of the Eternal;
and this is a very common deception found within different
areas of New Age thought as other of my articles bear out.
Furthermore, as has already been clearly pointed out, the
Urantia Book also erroneously states that His Blood
Sacrifice is not a necessary part of our Salvation. This
deceptive work, and those who adhere to it, insist that the
events at Calvary were a horrid barbaric act totally
unrelated to God's Plan of Salvation; totally in contrast to
what is actually contained in both the Old and New Testament
Scriptures.

In addition to the above, as was seen at the beginning of
this article, the Urantians also claim that Michael is the
celestial name of Jesus Christ. From conversations I have
had in the past, I am aware of the fact that this same
doctrine is espoused by the Jehovah's Witnesses. As such, I
can only wonder if the Urantia Book might not have been
written by, or at least inspired by, an ex-Jehovah's
Witness, or a group of former Jehovah's Witnesses. Let me
state clearly that I have no evidence to prove this; it is
just a hunch on my part. While there is definitely a
connection between Jesus Christ and the priestly order of
Melchizedek in the Bible, as I have clearly demonstrated in
my article 'Jesus Christ: Son Of God, High Priest Of
Melchizedek', that I am aware of, there is no clear
Scriptural connection to support the idea of Jesus and
Michael being one and the same person.

Because of this lack of evidence in my view, I can only
assume that the Jehovah's Witnesses and the writers of the
Urantia Book come to this conclusion based on a few verses
which show similarities between Michael's and Jesus's
activities warring against Satan and his demonic forces. For
a more detailed look at some of these verses, I suggest you
read my article 'Who Is Hindering The Antichrist From
Arriving?' which deals primarily with the role of the
Archangel Michael in the Heavenly Realm. Some of the
Scriptures contained in that article are the following:

"And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought
against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in
heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent,
called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole
world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were
cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in
heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom
of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of
our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God
day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the
Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not
their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens,
and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the
earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you,
having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a
short time." (Revelation 12:7-12)

Rather than outright state that Jesus and Michael are
definitely one and the same, I feel that it would be better
for these people to state that it is just their opinion that
they MIGHT be one and the same. In my view, to make such
adamant statements regarding any topic which is not clearly
defined in the Bible, is foolishness. It is for this very
reason that in my writings, I try to maintain a very
cautious and open attitude about what I say. I make every
endeavor to let it be known when I am firmly convinced of
something due to the Scriptural evidence, and when I am
merely speculating. I leave myself open in case I am wrong.
In the case of this Jesus and Michael comparison, I still
remain convinced that it is in direct contradiction to what
we are told in the Bible. Unfortunately, as I have already
shown, the Urantians have shielded themselves from The Truth
by claiming that the Bible is adulterated truth full of many
errors and inaccuracies. How subtle of Satan to neutralize
the very Book which could free these people from the
deception they are under! This reminds me of a verse from
the Old Testament:

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put
darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter
for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" (Isaiah 5:20)

For those who do accept the validity and inspiration of the
Bible, allow me to quote a few verses which clearly show
that absolutely NO ONE knows Jesus' Heavenly Name except
for Jesus Himself:

"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he
that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in
righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a
flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had
a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he
was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is
called The Word of God...And he hath on his vesture and on
his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."
(Rev. 19:11-13, 16)

The above verses graphically describe the return of Jesus
Christ with the Heavenly Host at the Battle of Armageddon;
at which time the forces of the Beast and the False Prophet
will be destroyed. These events are discussed more in detail
in other Endtime articles. Notice, however, that it says
that NO ONE knows His name except for He Himself. We know
Jesus by His other descriptive names, such as the Word Of
God, the Lamb Of God, the Door, the King of Kings, and quite
a few others found in both the Old and New Testaments; but
NO ONE knows Him by His personal Heavenly Name. Thus, anyone
who claims that Jesus Christ and Michael the Archangel are
one and the same, or that Michael is Jesus' personal
Celestial Name, are either not aware of the above verse, or
else they have purposely chosen to ignore it because it
contradicts their false doctrine.

For a person to deny The Truth stated in the above verses is
to say that they have some special hotline to God, and that
He has revealed some secret knowledge to them which no one
else knows. BEWARE! This is another one of Satan's favorite
tactics! He loves to lift people up in their own pride; just
as he is also lifted up in his own pride and vanity. 'Oh
yes!' he will say, 'You are called, and you are chosen, and
you are special above everyone else on the face of the
Earth! Therefore, I have been sent to enlighten you, and to
give you some esoteric wisdom; but you must not share it
just yet! It is for you alone!' If some spiritual being
comes to you claiming to want to enlighten you, you better
really test that spirit and remember this verse:

"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an
angel of light." (2 Corinthians 11:14)

God can certainly send an angelic messenger if He so
chooses; I am not saying that He can't; I am merely advising
extreme caution should such an event ever occur in your
life. Most of us would be so totally awed by such a
magnificent apparition, that we would probably be dumbstruck
and paralyzed with fear, just like the accounts we read
about in the Bible. It is also quite possible that we would
let our spiritual guards down in such a situtation. One
thing we need to remember is that the use of the word
'secret' draws people like flies. It is our human nature to
be drawn to such things; and Satan knows this. I have
discussed this very thing in such articles as 'Lying Wonders
Of The Endtime!'. As I stated there, Satan is deceiving
many people all over the world right now in many different
forms! Let's face it; we all want to feel special and
appreciated. We all want attention. But WATCH OUT, because
Satan will use these basic human needs, and our pride and
vanity against us!

To further expand on the idea of new Celestial Names, in
Revelation chapter two, we find the Lord saying the
following to the church at Pergamos regarding the new names
the overcomers will be given:

"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith
unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat
of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in
the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he
that receiveth it." (Revelation 2:17)

In both cases, that of Jesus, and that of the overcomers, we
are specifically told that these new names are private. As
such, there is no way that anyone else could possibly know
them, unless of course God wants them to be made known. I
don't honestly understand why we need secret names, but I am
sure that God will reveal the reason to us in His good time.
At any rate, here again we see another example which seems
to indicate that this 'revelation' of Jesus Christ being
Michael the Archangel, or at least being called Michael, is
a lie and a deception. Whatever His Heavenly Name is,
absolutely NO ONE knows it except for God the Father who
gave it to Him.

As far as the remaining comments quoted in the beginning of
this article, there is absolutely no indication in my Bible
that I am aware of, that Melchizedek is the son of Jesus; or
that Lucifer is the son of Jesus; or that Lucifer and Satan
are two different entities; or that Satan is a subordinate
of Lucifer. Again, allow me to suggest that you read some of
my related articles such 'Who Is Hindering The Antichrist
From Arriving?' and 'Jesus Christ: Son Of God, High Priest
Of Melchizedek'. Both articles offer some ideas which are
based on the Scriptures, and NOT just on wishful thinking or
delusion, as is the case with the Urantia Book.

Regarding a Spiritual Hierarchy in the Celestial Realm, this
is a much more provable issue; and one which I have dealt
with in other articles. From a variety of Scriptures in the
Bible, we do know that the Heavenly Kingdom is in fact
governed by a Celestial Government which has order and rank.
A simple example of this can be found in the God to Jesus to
the Angel to John chain-of-command found at the beginning of
the Book of Revelation:

"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to
shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to
pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his
servant John:" (Revelation 1:1)

Likewise, we know that the Heavenly Courts exist as is
clearly demonstrated in the Book of Job and elsewhere:

"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present
themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them."
(Job 1:6)

We also know that we will each have to appear before the
Judgment Seat of Christ:

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ;
that every one may receive the things done in his body,
according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."
(2 Corinthians 5:10)

From reading the Scriptures, we also know that Jesus Christ
can be compared to our Defense Attorney who pleads our cause
before His Father's Throne:

"Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea
rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand
of God, who also maketh intercession for us." (Romans 8:34)

"Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost
that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make
intercession for them." (Hebrews 7:25)

While Jesus is our Defense Attorney, Satan is clearly the
Prosecuting Attorney, the Accuser of the Saints, who seeks
our judgment and chastisement:

"And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come
salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the
power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast
down, which accused them before our God day and night."
(Revelation 12:10)

We also have a basic idea of what the Heavenly Throne looks
like with the Twenty-Four Elders, the Four Beasts, and other
ministering Spirits around it:

"And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne
was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And he that
sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and
there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like
unto an emerald. And round about the throne were four and
twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty
elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on
their heads crowns of gold. And out of the throne proceeded
lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven
lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven
Spirits of God. And before the throne there was a sea of
glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and
round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before
and behind." (Revelation 4:2-6)

In the Old Testament we discover that some of these
Spiritual Beings act as Counsellors to God:

"And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I
saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of
heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.
And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go
up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner,
and another said on that manner. And there came forth a
spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade
him." (1 Kings 22:19-21)

While I can't prove it through Scriptures, I suspect that
the physical location of this Head of Government might be at
The Summit, The Apex, of the pyramid-shaped Heavenly City,
New Jerusalem, the spiritual Mount Zion:

"And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large
as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed,
twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the
height of it are equal." (Revelation 21:16)

The Glorious Light of God and His Son Jesus Christ is going
to shine from the top of this Super-Structure, just like we
see in some of Satan's counterfeit pyramid-shaped buildings
such as the one in Las Vegas:

"And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and
the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of
the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory
of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof."
(Revelation 21:22-23)

Aside from the above descriptions, other points such as
exactly who is who, or what their names are, or what
positions they hold, or what their different
responsibilities are, etc., are simply a matter of pure
speculation and imagination, because the Bible simply does
not amplify enough on these matters. We can only hope that
in God's appointed time, we will all come to fully
understand and experience the realities of the Spiritual
World; for this is indeed the Blessed Hope which lies within
the heart of every Christian:

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which
God hath prepared for them that love him."
(1 Corinthians 2:9)

"For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of
righteousness by faith." (Galatians 5:5)

"The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye
may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the
riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,"
(Ephesians 1:18)

"We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, praying always for you, Since we heard of your faith
in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the
saints, For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven,
whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the
gospel;" (Colossians 1:3-5)

"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready
always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a
reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
(1 Peter 3:15)

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so,
I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And
if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and
receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be
also." (John 14:2-3)

Regarding the Urantian claims of a 'local universe' which is
a part of a greater multi-universe system; I have my doubts
about such talk. In one of his sermons in the Book of Acts,
the Apostle Peter spoke of the restitution of all things
through Jesus Christ. My current feelings are that the scope
of the restitution Peter was referring to is limited to
humanity living on this Earth. After all, this is the very
reason Jesus came to this planet:

"Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution
of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his
holy prophets since the world began." (Acts 3:21)

The Apostle Paul also spoke on this matter and likewise
seemed to indicate that he wasn't referring to some kind of
a universal reconciliation, but rather to reconciliation
with those dwelling on this planet:

"And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to
himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry
of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ,
reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their
trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of
reconciliation." (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)

Of course, none of us really know the Mind of God, or the
full scope of His Power and the Excellency of His Will. As
such, I think the following verses are very appropriate for
this topic:

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your
ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher
than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my
thoughts than your thoughts."

In spite of our current state of science and modern
technology, we still don't know the extent of our physical
Universe. Based on the Genesis account of Creation, I have a
lot of doubts regarding the facts, figures and photos
presented to us by modern-day scientists and astronomers. I
feel that they know a lot more than they wish to reveal to
us. I suspect that they might be aware of some profound
truths which, for whatever their reasons, they have felt it
is in their and/or our best interest to withhold from us. I
myself have considered the possibility that the account in
Genesis was written from an Earthly perspective to simply
help us to understand the process of Creation in our part of
the galaxy. It is indeed wonderful and awe-inspiring to
imagine that we might just be one small part of a greater
story of the Creation of Life, but is there any truth to
this view?

If there are other planets in this galaxy, or in some other
galaxy, or even in some other universe, populated by
intelligent beings like ourselves, then the Lord must have
His reasons for keeping us isolated from each other by such
great distances. In addition, if Planet Earth is but one of
many life-inhabited planets, then we should indeed feel
greatly honoured that the Almighty God, El Shaddai, and His
Son Jesus Christ have chosen Planet Earth to be the future
home of their Supreme Headquarters as is born out in the
Book of Revelation. Just proposing these kinds of ideas
brings to mind a lot of tough questions which certainly
challenge our Earth-centered existence. However, I must
again state that, based on the above Scriptures concerning
restitution and reconciliation, I suspect that this talk of
other universes might possibly be just another lie and
delusion of Satan to exalt his demonic work, the Urantia
Book.

In sumarizing my feelings on the Urantia Book, taken as a
whole, I strongly feel that it is an absolute lie! It may
contain some Truth, as most of Satan's propaganda does, but
it is just enough to catch you off guard. Any person who
claims that the Bible is inaccurate, or a myth, or who
denies that the only way to Salvation is through the atoning
Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross, is a liar and a tool of
Satan! Don't spend one minute listening to such people! As I
have clearly explained in other articles, these people are
false brethren! These so-called 'New Christians' of the
Urantia Book can talk about God and Jesus all they want, but
by criticizing the Bible, and denying the Sacrifice of
Christ, they are clearly showing their true colors! They are
just like the false brethren of the First Century who tried
to bring the Early Disciples back under the bondage of
circumcision:

"But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was
compelled to be circumcised: And that because of false
brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out
our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might
bring us into bondage: To whom we gave place by subjection,
no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might
continue with you." (Galatians 2:3-5)

The Apostle John admonished us to shun those who come
preaching another Gospel other than the True Gospel of
Salvation:

"If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine,
receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil
deeds." (2 John 1:10-11)

In conclusion, we should all pray, as I have done, that Dr.
Weeks and other followers of the Urantia Book will come
around to accepting the knowlege of The Truth as it is
revealed in God's Holy Word, the Bible. This does not mean
closing our eyes to other possibilities, but it does mean
first accepting the Inspired Standard given to us thousands
of years ago by the holy Prophets and Disciples, and then
using that Standard as the Ruler by which we measure and
compare all things.

Instead of comparing the Bible with the Urantia Book, and
then erroneously claiming that the Bible is false or
inaccurate, the Urantians should compare the Urantia Book
with the Bible instead. If they do this with open hearts,
they will quickly see that the Urantia Book strongly
contradicts the Bible on major points. Anyone who continues
reading and believing in the Urantia Book after becoming
aware of its demonic origin and its deceptive doctrines, has
consciously and willfully chosen their own delusion; and God
will hold them accountable for it. Furthermore, if these
people induce others to believe in the false doctrines of
the Urantia Book as well, according to the Words of Jesus,
they are going to face dire consequences:

"But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which
believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were
hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth
of the sea." (Matthew 18:6)

In the above verse, the word 'offend' is actually derived
from the Greek word 'skandalizo' from which we get our
English words scandal and scandalize. While it is translated
as 'offend' in the New Testament, the Greek lexicon defines
'skandalizo' as 'putting a stumbling block or impediment in
the way, upon which another may trip and fall'. This idea of
tripping or falling relates to what Paul stated about the
conditions which would exist in the Endtime:

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not
come, except there come a falling away first, and that man
of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
(2 Thessalonians 2:3)

Those words 'falling away' are derived from the Greek word
'apostasia' which means 'a falling away, defection or
apostasy'. This is the same thing Jesus is talking about in
the above verse from the Gospel of Matthew where the word
'offend' is used. One of the primary reasons many people are
falling away, or stumbling, from the True Faith and
doctrines of the Bible, is because they are being deceived
and led astray by these Endtime false prophets and New Age
babblers who are confusing them with all kinds of powerful
lies and strange tales of aliens and UFO's, Space Brothers,
new 'revelations', 'heavenly' visions and voices, etc. Jesus
continues to warn against these offenders and deceivers by
saying:

"Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs
be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the
offence cometh!" (Matthew 18:7)

Again, these 'offences', or stumbling blocks, (from
'skandalon'), are the lies and deceits and false doctrines
which are causing many to be led astray from their faith in
the Saving Grace of God through the atoning Blood of Jesus
Christ; and this is precisely what the Urantia Book does! It
causes folks to fall and stumble! God help those who spread
the lies contained in this abominable book; and He will if
they cry out to Him for forgiveness! If you are interested
