An Inspiring Invitation And Glimpse Of Revelations To Come!

Decision-making is a very important part of our lives. We do
it every single day. In fact, we do it many more times than
most of us will ever realize! Our brain is constantly
sending signals via our nervous system to all the different
parts of our bodies, telling this muscle to contract, or
telling that one to expand. Through our eyes, our brain
calculates the size, distance and speed of objects without
us even being consciously aware of it. It is a natural part
of our being. On a more conscious level, from the minute we
wake up in the morning, we begin to make decisions for the
day ahead of us. The first one we make is whether or not we
are even going to get out of bed when the alarm clock goes
off! If we do, we must then decide what to wear, or what to
have for breakfast, or whatever else might happen to be a
part of our morning ritual. Throughout the day we will make
many more decisions, some conscious, and some not. We might
decide what to buy when we go grocery shopping; or whether
or not we have time to check the post office during our
lunchbreak, or if we should pick up that hitchhiker standing
out there in the rain. We make all kinds of decisions.

However, did you know that everday of the year thousands of
people are required to make one decision which is so
important that it will affect the rest of their lives? It is
such an important decision, yet many are so foolish as to
make the wrong choice and turn down the offer which is
extended to them. I am sure you realize that I am not
talking about a chance at a new job you've been trying to
get; or a promotion at your current job; or even a pay raise
which will lighten your financial burdens. I am of course
talking about a chance to accept God's free gift of Eternal
Life through His Son Jesus Christ. The decision to accept
Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour is a very important
one indeed! Consider the following words spoken by Moses:

"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you,
that I have set before you life and death, blessing and
cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed
may live:" (Deuteronomy 30:19)

Of course, we know that the Way to Life is none other than
through Jesus Christ:

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

By accepting Jesus, not only have you chosen Eternal Life
over Eternal Damnation, but you have also acknowledged whom
you wish to be the Master in your life:

"And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long
halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow
him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered
him not a word." (1 Kings 18:21)

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the
one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one,
and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."
(Matthew 6:24)

"Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to
obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin
unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"
(Romans 6:16)

Sadly, not all have chosen the Way of Life over the Way of
Death. They prefer to walk in Darkness, rather than come to
the Glorious Light of God:

"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the
world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because
their deeds were evil." (John 3:19)

"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of
the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the light of life." (John 8:12)

"I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth
on me should not abide in darkness." (John 12:46)

"This then is the message which we have heard of him, and
declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no
darkness at all." (1 John 1:5)

Once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we
become the adopted Children of God by faith who earnestly
await the redemption of our mortal bodies:

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to
become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his
name:" (John 1:12)

"For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to
fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby
we cry, Abba, Father." (Romans 8:15)

"And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the
firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within
ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption
of our body." (Romans 8:23)

"To redeem them that were under the law, that we might
receive the adoption of sons." (Galatians 4:5)

"Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by
Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of
his will," (Ephesians 1:5)

"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be
his God, and he shall be my son." (Revelation 21:7)

As the born-again Children of God, we are then clothed with
the marvellous Armour of the glorious Light of God:

"The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us
therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on
the armour of light." (Romans 13:12)

Thus we see that through the act of accepting Jesus Christ,
we become a part of God's Holy Nation of the Children of
Light:

"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy
nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the
praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his
marvellous light:" (1 Peter 2:9)

"For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the
Lord: walk as children of light:" (Ephesians 5:8)

"Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the
day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness."
(1 Thessalonians 5:5)

Being as we are now the Children of Light, we are told to no
longer have fellowship with the Children of Darkness, those
who knowingly reject Jesus Christ:

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for
what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and
what communion hath light with darkness?"
(2 Corinthians 6:14)

By accepting Jesus, not only do we become the adopted Sons
and Daughters of Light, but we also are transformed into
bearers of the Light ourselves; just like Jesus!:

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an
hill cannot be hid." (Matthew 5:14)

Once we have accomplished our purpose in this world, by
sharing the Light and Truth of God's Love with others, we
will then be promoted to take our rightful place in the
heavenlies. If we have given a stellar performance while
here on Earth, we will be rewarded accordingly:

"And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the
firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the
stars for ever and ever." (Daniel 12:3)

"When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of
God shouted for joy?" (Job 38:7)

"There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial:
but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the
terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, and
another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars:
for one star differeth from another star in glory. So also
is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption;
it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is
raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in
power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual
body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual
body." (1 Corinthians 15:40-44)

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was
given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were
beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God,
and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image,
neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in
their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a
thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again
until the thousand years were finished. This is the first
resurrection." (Revelation 20:4-5)

Thus, through what some have percieved as being an
unimportant decision in life, we the Believers have become
God's stellar Children of Light who will rule and reign with
Him forever! God will not only be our Heavenly Father
forever, but He will also be the Father of Lights, we His
Children of Light who will shine like stars for eternity!:

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and
cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no
variableness, neither shadow of turning." (James 1:17)

So then, are YOU one of God's Children of Light? Have you
accepted Jesus Christ, the Light of the World, into your
life? Do you want to come out of the Darkness? It's never
too late! In fact, you can do it this very minute if you
like. All it takes is faith and belief in your heart. If you
are not sure what to say to the Lord, here is a sample
prayer which you can use as a guide. You don't have to use
these exact words. The most important thing is that whatever
you say to the Lord, that you do it from your heart:

Heavenly Father, I know that I am not perfect. I have made
my share of mistakes in this life. I realize that I am a
sinner. In spite of this, I know that You love me; and that
this is why you sent your Son, Jesus Christ. I accept that
Jesus gave His life on the Cross for my sins. I ask You now
to please forgive me for my sins through the Blood of Your
Son. Please grant me Eternal Life so that I might live
forever in Your Holy Kingdom of Light as one of Your
Children of Light. I also ask that you fill my life with
Your Spirit. Please help me to take more time to read and
understand Your Word, the Bible. As I do, please help me to
begin sharing your Love and Light with others by telling
them about Jesus so that they may know You too. Thank-you
Father for hearing my prayer. In Your Son, Jesus's name, I
humbly ask. Amen.

If you have acknowledged Jesus Christ as your Lord and
Saviour through the above prayer, or a similar prayer, you
are now by faith a Child of God. Although you may not have
experienced some sudden onslaught of emotions, it doesn't
matter. Our Salvation is a matter of Faith and Belief in
God's promises in His Word. It is not a matter of feelings
or any other outside stimuli. What you have just now
accepted by faith will someday become an actual physical
reality; just as I have demonstrated above. Until then, you
must keep your eyes on Jesus and His Word. After all, He is
the Author and the Finisher of our Faith:

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross,
despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of
the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:2)

He is the only One who can save you to begin with; and He is
the only One who can keep you saved; BUT you must maintain
your Faith in Him alone. The way to do this is to immerse
yourself in the sincere milk of God's Word, for as we are
told:

"As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that
ye may grow thereby:" (1 Peter 2:2)

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of
God." (Romans 10:17)

At this point, as a new-born Child of Light, this is the
most important thing that you can do. Your spiritual
survival depends on feeding yourself with His Word; for it
will not only feed your soul, but it will keep you on the
Path of Light:

"NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my
path." (Psalms 119:105)

I cannot overstress this point. You must feed yourself daily
from the fountains of living water of His Word. You might
want to begin by reading Psalm 119 in its entirety to see
how King David also realized the importance of God's Word.
After that, I suggest you begin an earnest study of God's
Word beginning with the four Gospels, Mathtew, Mark, Luke
and John. They are full of many wonderful precious jewels.

To assist you in your study of God's Word, I have written
many articles on a wide variety of topics which contain
literally hundreds, if not thousands, of some of the best
verses found in the entire Bible. I encourage you to read
them and share them with family and friends. To better
understand God's plan of Salvation and what you have just
done, I suggest you begin by reading all of the articles in
this current group. From here you can expand to read other
articles in other groups according to your personal
interests. I encourage you to read them slowly, prayerfully
and carefully. They contain many jewels of wisdom for those
who have a difficult time understanding the Bible; but if
you are in a hurry, you might misunderstand something, or
miss it altogether. In closing, here is a final verse for
your consideration as one of the Lord's new Children of
Light:

"But the path of the just is as the shining light, that
shineth more and more unto the perfect day." (Proverbs 4:18)

What a wonderful promise! As you continue to obey and trust
in the Lord walking along The Path, you are indeed getting
closer to the Perfect Day; the day of the Lord's Second
Coming! The longer you remain on The Path, the brighter it
gets, because you are getting closer and closer to Jesus,
and He is getting closer and closer to you! In addition, you
will shine brighter and brighter as one of His stars, a
Child of Light, as your rewards continue to increase in
