Endtime Prophecy Net - Bible Tidbits

According to Jewish legend, Lilith was a female demonic spirit who seduced Adam in the Garden of Eden, possibly prior to the creation of Eve. While the English name 'Lilith' is no where to be found in the KJV Bible, it is interesting to note that the Hebrew word 'liyliyth', is found in Isaiah 34:14, where it is translated as 'screech owl'. Easton's Bible Dictionary defines 'liyliyth' as 'the name of a female goddess known as a night demon who haunts the desolate places of Edom; might be a nocturnal animal that inhabits desolate places'. Whether or not there is any truth to this legend, the fact that a modern all-female rock music group would take such a name, clearly shows how dark and evil the world is becoming. Concerning Jewish fables, the Apostle Paul wrote: "Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth." Titus 1:14, KJV
