Endtime Prophecy Net - Bible Tidbits

As the WordWeaver explains in some of his articles, true Christianity is not just going to a church building every weekend. The Bible plainly teaches that the True Church is not a building, it is we, the people, the body of born-again believers. (see 1 Peter 2:5). Yes, we can meet in a church building, but we can meet in any other place as well. The First Century Christians did not have church buildings, and was not intersted in church buildings. They met, fellowshipped and studied God's Word in each other's homes in small intimate groups. As Jesus said: "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20, KJV. So Christian fellowship of some kind is important, but you should not allow local church leaders or members condemn you, or make you feel guilty, if you don't happen to belong to their private little club. For additional information on this topic, please use the key words "church" and "churchianity". Please also read the WordWeaver's article "Where Are The First Century Churches?".
