Pontifex Maximus: Pagan High Priest to Roman Catholic Pope
Hello everyone. I am happy to announce the release of a new three-part series entitled "Pontifex Maximus: Pagan High Priest to Roman Catholic Pope". This series examines the rise of the Roman Catholic Church from the ancient high priest of pagan Rome -- the Pontifex Maximus -- to the modern-day pope. Highlighted is the Fourth Century compromise between the bishops and Church Fathers and Emperor Constantine I. Also discussed are the Edict of Milan, the First Council of Nicaea, Arius and Arianism and Emperor Theodosius and the Edict of Thessalonica.
