I was just in the kitchen making some brunch -- it's after 2:30 PM here -- and just out of the blue, a very interesting thought came to me, which I don't doubt is indeed true. Quite simply, the U.S. Government likes social networking, and must absolutely love social networking websites such as Google, Google+, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Blogger, etc.
Why?
Well, think about it. The more that people are encouraged to socialize online, the more they will be inclined to open their lives to each other and talk.
Logically-speaking, the more that people talk -- or type -- obviously, the more they tend to reveal about themselves . . . sometimes even some things which are better left unsaid. But, as the Scriptures inform us:
"In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise."
Proverbs 10:19, KJV
The more that people socialize, talk online, and reveal things about themselves, the more the U.S. Government can identify and root out loose cannons who pose potential security threats to the nation. U.S. Government databases must be full of information regarding people who utilize such social networking sites! They run in the millions!
AHHHhhh . . . Now you get it! Lightbulb!
What's that? You don't live in the U.S.A.?
So! Do you really think that YOUR government behaves any differently?
I wonder what Winston Smith would think of our day?
They got your number, boy!
Have a nice day!
