Well, Smokey woke up from his nap, and as promised, I remembered to snap some new pictures of him about half an hour ago. As with his sister Bandit, these pictures were taken as he lay on the kitchen window shelf. Smokey is seven weeks and six days old here. The background is very bright because of the light coming in from the kitchen window behind Smokey.
Let me tell you though; it wasn't easy taking these pics. As if Smokey moving around a lot didn't already make it difficult to take his picture, then his mother Socks decided that she would get into the act as well. So, she climbed up on to the window shelf too. Thanks Socks, but you have already had your moment of fame in this blog on more than one occasion.
Oh gosh . . . who is that coming over there? Guys, honest, I didn't say anything about this being a family picture!
Yes, you guessed it. Bandit -- who was in the other room at the time -- apparently sensed that something was going on in the kitchen; because the next thing I know, little Bandit has climbed up on to the kitchen window shelf as well. GGGRRRrrr . . .
Excuse me, but will you two female felines kindly move yourselves out of the way for a moment? I am trying to take some snapshots of Smokey since his pics didn't come out good the other day.
Well, folks, if you don't like these two pictures, you can blame it on Socks and Bandit -- the camera hogs -- because these were the only two half-decent pics of Smokey that I was able to take.
I just checked in the kitchen, and guess what? Smokey and Bandit are now sleeping on the window shelf, while Socks has apparently been exiled to sleep on the kitchen counter right below them. Actually, Socks probably chose to do so of her own accord. I have often noticed the preference that she gives to her kittens. Socks the Cat is such a good mama.
That's all for now.
