IGNOMINY - Contempt; shame; dishonor.

When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with IGNOMINY reproach.  Proverbs 18:3, KJV

IMMORTAL - Incapable of corruption.

Now unto the King eternal, IMMORTAL, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.  1 Timothy 1:17, KJV

IMMORTALITY - Incorruption; an imperishable state.

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on IMMORTALITY, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.  1 Corinthians 15:54, KJV

IMMUTABLE - Unchangeable.

Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: that by two IMMUTABLE things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us.  Hebrews 6:17-18, KJV

IMPENITENT - Without remorse.

But after thy hardness and IMPENITENT heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; who will render to every man according to his deeds.  Romans 2:5-6, KJV

IMPERIOUS - Hard-faced; bold.

How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an IMPERIOUS whorish woman; In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire; but as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband!  Ezekiel 16:30-32, KJV

IMPLACABLE - Unyielding; obstinate.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, IMPLACABLE, unmerciful.  Romans 1:28-31, KJV

IMPLEAD - To bring an accusation against.

For ye have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess. Wherefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them IMPLEAD one another.  Acts 19:37-38, KJV

IMPORTUNITY - Lack of modesty; shamelessness.

And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his IMPORTUNITY he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.  Luke 11:7-8, KJV

IMPUDENT - Stubborn; hard-faced.

But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are IMPUDENT and hardhearted. Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads.  Ezekiel 3:7-8, KJV

IMPUTE - To reckon or count.

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not IMPUTE sin.  Romans 4:8, KJV

IN ANY WISE - Surely.

When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me; thou shalt IN ANY WISE set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.  Deuteronomy 17:14-15, KJV

IN NO WISE - By no means; assuredly not.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall IN NO WISE pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.  Matthew 5:17-18, KJV

INCONTINENCY - Lack of self-control.

The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your INCONTINENCY.  1 Corinthians 7:4-5, KJV

INCONTINENT - Unbridled; uncontrollable.

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, INCONTINENT, fierce, despisers of those that are good.  2 Timothy 3:1-3, KJV

INDIGNATION - Wrath; anger.

Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it. For the INDIGNATION of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.  Isaiah 34:1-2, KJV

INDITING - Overflowing; boiling over.

My heart is INDITING a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.  Psalm 45:1, KJV

INFAMY - An evil report.

Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself; and discover not a secret to another: lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine INFAMY turn not away.  Proverbs 25:9-10, KJV

INFIDEL - An unbeliever.

But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an INFIDEL.  1 Timothy 5:8, KJV

INIQUITY - Sin; wickedness; evil.

Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men that work INIQUITY: and let me not eat of their dainties.  Psalm 141:3-4, KJV

INORDINATE - Without restraint; immoderate.

These discovered her nakedness: they took her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword: and she became famous among women; for they had executed judgment upon her. And when her sister Aholibah saw this, she was more corrupt in her INORDINATE love than she, and in her whoredoms more than her sister in her whoredoms.  Ezekiel 23:10-11, KJV

INSTANT - Insistent; steadfast; urgent.

And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go. And they were INSTANT with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.  Luke 23:22-23, KJV

INSTANTLY - Earnestly.

And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers: Unto which promise our twelve tribes, INSTANTLY serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.  Acts 26:6-7, KJV
