Trampling On The Trail Of Satan!
The Truth Of The Beast Of Revelation Revealed?

In the twenty-eighth chapter of the book of Ezekiel, we find
the amazing description of the fall of Tyre, also known as
Tyrus. The entire prophecy concerning Tyrus actually
stretches from chapter twenty-six to chapter twenty-eight.
Tyrus was a very wealthy island city and part of the ancient
Phoenician Empire. The Phoenicians were noted for being a
great seafaring people, and Tyrus was a maritime center of
trade for many nations around the Mediterranean and in the
Middle East. In Microsoft's Encarta we find the following
definition of Tyre:

"Tyre or Sur (Latin Tyrus; Hebrew Zor), town, southern
Lebanon, on the Mediterranean Sea. Its name was first
applied to a small island just off the coast, the site of
the earliest settlement here. Tyre was the most important
city of ancient Phoenicia. Herodotus, the Greek historian,
records a tradition that traced the settlement of Tyre back
to the 28th century BC. In the 7th century AD it came under
the dominion of the Saracens. In the 12th century it was
taken by the Crusaders, who kept it until 1291, when the
town came under Muslim rule. It was badly damaged during
Arab-Israeli Warfare in 1982. Population (1988 estimate)
12,000. "Tyre," Microsoft (R) Encarta. Copyright (c) 1994

What I find most amazing about the above description is that
it includes absolutely nothing regarding the invasion and
destruction of Tyrus, first by Nebuchadnezzar, and later by
Alexander the Great. It is almost as if through a deliberate
act of omission, someone is purposely trying to discredit
God by not including a part of ancient history which would
prove without a shadow of a doubt that the prophecies given
by Ezekiel were fulfilled exactly as he had written them.
Briefly, Ezekiel received his prophecies during the
seventy-year captivity of Jerusalem by King Nebuchadnezzar.
We are told that Ezekiel received his prophecy against Tyrus
because the Phoenicians scoffed at Jerusalem when it was
captured by Nebuchadnezzar:

"Son of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Jerusalem,
Aha, she is broken that was the gates of the people: she is
turned unto me: I shall be replenished, now she is laid
waste: Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am
against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come
up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up.
And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down
her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make
her like the top of a rock. It shall be a place for the
spreading of nets in the midst of the sea: for I have spoken
it, saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to the
nations. And her daughters which are in the field shall be
slain by the sword; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus
Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the
north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen,
and companies, and much people." (Ezekiel 26:2-7)

In later Scriptures, the Lord again confirms that the
destruction of Tyrus will be total, so much so that it will
never be found again:

"And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be
a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more:
for I the LORD have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD...For thus
saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a desolate city,
like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring
up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee;
When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the
pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the
low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them
that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I
shall set glory in the land of the living; I will make thee
a terror, and thou shalt be no more: though thou be sought
for, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord
GOD." (Ezekiel 26:14, 19-21)

In the above verses we are told in a figurative sense
through the use of 'the deep' and 'great waters', that
foreign nations would come upon Tyrus as the waves of the
sea and destroy it. This is exactly what happened beginning
with Nebuchadnezzar. However, if memory serves me correctly,
(and I may have the facts a bit distorted), Nebuchadnezzar
only destroyed those people who dwelt in the suburbs, on the
coast, and not those who dwelt on the main island out in the
sea. From what I can recall from a study I read quite a few
years ago, the coastal dwellers had sufficient notice so
that some were able to escape to the island-city with the
majority of their riches. Nebuchadnezzar was not a seafaring
man; and it appears that in spite of his great power and
might, he was limited to land-based conquests. Because of
this half-victory, Ezekiel prophesies that in his wrath,
Nebuchadnezzar would raze the coastal suburbs to the ground
and throw the remains into the sea:

"And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey
of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and
destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones
and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water."
(Ezekiel 26:12)

That this was the result of Nebuchadnezzar not being able to
take as great a spoil as he had expected is confirmed a few
chapters later where we read:

"Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army
to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made
bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet had he no wages,
nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served
against it:" (Ezekiel 29:18)

Notice that it says 'yet he had no wages'. In other words,
his spoil was not nearly as great as he had expected it to
be because the Phoenecians were aware of their imminent
destruction and had thus carried off as much as they could
to the island-city. It would be years later that Alexander
the Great would come along and build upon that same rubble
to construct a causway in order to plunder and destroy the
main island of Tyrus. So, just as the prophecies state,
Tyrus was destroyed; first the coastal town, and then the
main city. In a literal sense, to this day the original site
of Tyrus the island-city remains submerged under the waves
and is a place for casting fishing nets. Enemies of God
claim that the prophecy was never fulfilled because Tyre
still stands today. However, they fail to acknowledge that
the new city, which was visited by both Jesus and Paul, was
built on the coast a short distance south of the original
site which was an island. God's word was indeed fulfilled.
The prophets Isaiah, Amos and Zechariah also prophesied
against Tyrus. In fact, Jesus likewise spoke of the
destruction of both Tyre and Sidon, (another Phoenecian city
prophesied against in Ezekiel 28), just as He had likewise
used Sodom and Gomorrah as sybmols of God's wrath against
the wicked:

"Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if
the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have
been done in you, they had a great while ago repented,
sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it shall be more
tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you."
(Luke 10:13-14)

It is interesting to note that Jesus used these very same
words with Sodom and Gomorrah just a verse before:

"But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that
day for Sodom, than for that city." (Luke 10:12)

This incident is recorded in two of the other Gospels as
well:

"Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the
land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for
that city." (Matthew 10:15)

"And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt
be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have
been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have
remained until this day. But I say unto you, That it shall
be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of
judgment, than for thee." (Matthew 11:23-24)

"And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye
depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a
testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be
more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of
judgment, than for that city." (Mark 6:11)

The reason Jesus is making this comparison with Tyre and
Sidon and Sodom and Gomorrah is because they never received
the Word, or witnessed the miracles of the Lord as these
cities of Israel had. Thus, in God's eyes, despite their
sins, God would be more merciful to them in the Day of
Judgment. When the Lord sent the prophet Ezekiel, He
specifically told him that He was sending him to deliver the
Word to Israel, and not to people of foreign lands (such as
Tyre and Sidon), whose languages he knew not. In fact, the
Lord told Ezekiel that if he had been sent to them, they
would have repented, which is exactly what Jesus said:

"For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and
of an hard language, but to the house of Israel; Not to many
people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose
words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to
them, they would have hearkened unto thee." (Ezekiel 3:5-6)

So then, as stated in my article 'Homosexuality And
Lesbianism', just as Jesus, Isaiah, Paul, Peter and Jude had
said, these cities were destroyed to serve as a warning to
future generations...a warning which has been blatantly
disregarded:

"And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had
left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like
unto Gomorrha." (Romans 9:29)

"And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes
condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample
unto those that after should live ungodly;" (2 Peter 2:6)

"Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in
like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and
going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example,
suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." (Jude 1:7)

If God was upset with Sodom and Gomorrah because of their
sexual perversions, how much more must He be upset with
current-day homosexuals and lesbians who not only have the
example of these cities of the past, but who also have the
Word of the Lord as well? In fact, they have the example of
these destroyed cities, they have the words of Moses, they
have the words of Isaiah, they have the words of Jesus, they
have the words of Paul, they have the words of Peter, and
they have the words of Jude; yet still they do not repent of
their wickedness. In fact, some of them flaunt their sins in
the Lord's Face by claiming to believe in Him. How can
homosexuals and lesbians say they love and believe in Jesus
and yet not do the things that He asks?:

"And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which
I say?" (Luke 6:46)

Returning to our main discussion, the primary reason this
prophecy of Tyrus is important to this current article is
because it contains some very mysterious verses which are
open to a number of understandings. In describing the prince
of Tyrus, we read the following unusual verses:

"The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, Son of
man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a
God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet
thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as
the heart of God:" (Ezekiel 28:1-2)

Notice that this prophecy is directed against the prince of
Tyrus, and not against the king of Tyrus. This may possibly
be implying that he is the son of the king of Tyrus, (who I
will discuss shortly), or it may mean something entirely
different. While he is referred to as only a man, it should
be noted that in certain places in the Bible, the word
'prince' is used to denote both good and evil spiritual
forces working on the Earth. For example, in the book of
Daniel we find the angelic messenger being prevented for
three weeks from coming to Daniel until Michael the
archangel, also referred to as a prince, helps him in his
battle against the evil prince of Persia:

"Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first
day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to
chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I
am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of
Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael,
one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained
there with the kings of Persia." (Daniel 10:12-13)

In addition to the prince of Persia, this messenger also
refers to the kings of Persia. Thus we see the mention of
spiritual princes and kings all in the same verses. A few
verses later, this angelic messenger tells Daniel that after
he shares his message with Daniel, he must return to fight
against the prince of Persia, and after that, against the
prince of Greece as well. This is quite interesting because,
just as the image in Daniel two predicted, following the
Medo-Persian empire in the timeline of history was the
Grecian empire! Thus it appears that this angelic messenger
is saying that once he and Michael have finished fighting
against the evil spiritual prince of Persia, they will then
have to face the evil prince of Greece! This clearly shows
evil Satanic forces moving through human time and history!
Here are the verses in context:

"Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and
now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and
when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.
But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of
truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these
things, but Michael your prince." (Daniel 10:20-21)

What is also extremely interesting about this description of
this prince of Tyrus is that it is almost identical to the
'son of perdition', what some believe may be a reference to
the Antichrist, in Paul's epistle to the Thessalonians:

"That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither
by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that
the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any
means: for that day shall not come, except there come a
falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son
of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all
that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God
sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is
God." (2 Thessalonians 2:2-4)

Just like this prince of Tyrus, the son of perdition will
sit in the very seat of God claiming to be God. While both
of these may be mortal men, it is clear in my view that they
are either outwardly influenced by, possessed by, or in fact
may be physical incarnations of evil spiritual beings! In
the case of the Antichrist, it can be none other than Satan
himself! Given the evidence thus far, could it be that this
prophecy against the prince of Tyrus is not only directed
against a physical man, but also against the spiritual
prince or force which controls him? Let me now present the
prophecy against the king of Tyrus which is even more
bizarre, and even more clear regarding against whom these
prophecies are really directed. As you will see, the human
or humans involved here are only the tools being used by the
true spiritual forces which control Tyrus:

"Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus,
and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up
the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast
been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy
covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl,
the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the
carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of
thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast
created." (Ezekiel 28:12-13)

Here we have a being, called the king of Tyrus, who is full
of wisdom, perfect in beauty, who has been in the Garden of
Eden, and who was created! As far as I am concerned, there
can be no denying who this is talking about:

"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field
which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman,
Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the
garden?" (Genesis 3:1)

To confirm this even further, consider what we are told next
about this king of Tyrus:

"Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set
thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast
walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou
wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast
created, till iniquity was found in thee."
(Ezekiel 28:14-15)

How can the king of Tyrus be an anointed cherub, that is, an
angel? Could this be saying that Satan at one time hovered
over the very Throne of God? Is this why he is so covetous
of it? Could this be why both the prince of Tyrus and the
son of perdition want to sit in the seat of God? Notice it
says that he was upon the holy mountain of God. In previous
articles I have amply described how Satan walked within the
very Courts of God. And where are those Courts located? In
the Holy Mountain of God! And what is that Holy Moutain? Is
it Zion? Yes!...but not the physical Zion, but rather the
spiritual Zion! It is a mountain where the angel took John
to see the Heavenly City of God, New Jerusalem, which also
appears to be shaped like a mountain, descending from
Heaven:

"And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high
mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem,
descending out of heaven from God,...And the city lieth
foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and
he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand
furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it
are equal." (Revelation 21:10, 16)

For the record, that is approximately one thousand five
hundred miles on each side of the square base. Now, if the
height is the same as the length and breadth (or width),
either The City is a gigantic cube, or it is pyramidal or
mountain-shaped! The point is, this King of Tyrus was there!
How could he have been there unless it is referring, not
just to the physical king, but rather to the spiritual force
which controls him? Or as I already said, maybe the King of
Tyrus was actually a physical incarnation of Satan, just as
Jesus was a physical incarnation of the very Spirit of God!
The prophecy then goes on to read:

"By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the
midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore
I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and
I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of
the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy
beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy
brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee
before kings, that they may behold thee." (Ezekiel 28:16-17)

Here again, we see this king of Tyrus being thrown out of
the Mountain of God. Likewise we see him being referred to as
the covering cherub. As to the stones of fire, the book of
Enoch is literally full of references to fire; not just to
destructive fire, but to fire around and under The Throne of
God. Consider this verse:

"And it came to pass after this that my spirit was
translated And it ascended into the heavens: And I saw the
holy sons of God. They were stepping on flames of fire:
Their garments were white [and their raiment], And their
faces shone like snow." (Enoch 71:1)

Notice also the fact that, just like the prince of Tyrus,
just like the son of perdition, this king of Tyrus is lifted
up in pride because of his beauty. And what is the cause of
his beauty? His brightness! As you may know, Lucifer is
often translated as 'day star' or 'light bearer'. Some say
that he was God's Lightbearer before his fall. Whether or
not this is true, one thing we do know is that Satan can
indeed appear as an angel of light:

"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an
angel of light." (2 Corinthians 11:14)

Please also keep in mind this reference to the king of Tyrus
being cast to the ground as it will be explained as we
continue in this study. In the final verses of this prophecy
against the king of Tyrus, we read the following:

"Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine
iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will
I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour
thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the
sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee
among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be
a terror, and never shalt thou be any more."
(Ezekiel 28:18-19)

Here we have the total destruction of this king of Tyrus.
Notice that he is destroyed by fire, and that he will be
ashes upon the Earth for all to see. This is probably
referring the physical destruction of the actual king of
Tyrus.

At this point, allow me to ask you: Is it a coincidence that
Satan, as the haughty king of Tyrus, is bedecked with
brilliant scintillating jewels and gold? Is it a coincidence
that he is known for his beauty? Recall again exactly how
the prophet Ezekiel described him:

"...full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in
Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy
covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl,
the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the
carbuncle, and gold..."

Well, every important man has a woman in his life. In this
case, in a symbolic sense, this gloriously-attired demonic
king has a queen who is also his delight. Just take a look
at any postcard containing a nighttime aerial view of one of
your favorite cities and you will see one of the king's
lovely wives arrayed in all of her glory! Notice the
necklace of pearly lights which span her long bridges.
Notice the scintillating red rubies which adorn the tops of
her skyscrapers and tall towers. Notice the golden gleam
which reflects off of her sheer walls as the sun rises or
sets. Notice the many diamonds which give off their radiance
as dusk turns to night and lights are turned on. After you
have gazed at that postcard, read Revelation chapters
seventeen and eighteen concerning Babylon the Great Whore!
She sits upon the King/Beast herself riding him in wild
drunken fornication with all of her other lovers just
waiting in line for their turn! As I have pointed out in my
companion article 'Revelation's Babylon The Great Whore',
this 'lovely lady' of the night is none other than Jerusalem
herself, the spiritual mother of harlots:

"How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of
judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers."
(Isaiah 1:21)

"For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy
bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon
every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest,
playing the harlot." (Jeremiah 2:20)

The prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah and others uttered many
amazing prophecies which were two-fold in nature. Not only
were they fulfilled by the destruction of literal cities and
empires ages ago, but they will also be fulfilled again in
their modern day spiritual counterparts. While I shared
quite a few verses on the Babylon the Great Whore/Jerusalem
connection in the previously-mentioned article, consider the
following verses which also expose the sins of and speak of
the destruction of the spiritual Queen Babylon, the wife of
Satan, the King of Tyrus:

"Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of
the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The LADY OF
KINGDOMS. I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine
inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew
them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid
thy yoke. And thou saidst, I SHALL BE A LADY FOR EVER: so
that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither
didst remember the latter end of it. Therefore hear now
this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest
carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I AM, AND NONE ELSE
BESIDE ME; I SHALL NOT SIT AS A WIDOW, NEITHER SHALL I KNOW
THE LOSS OF CHILDREN: But these two things shall come to
thee in a moment in ONE DAY, the loss of children, and
widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for
the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance
of thine enchantments. For thou hast trusted in thy
wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and
thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in
thine heart, I AM, AN NONE ELSE BESIDE ME."
(Isaiah 47:5-10)

Does all of the above sound a bit familiar to you? Notice
the words I have capitalized. About eight hundred years
later, the Apostle John would prophesy the very same things
against the modern spiritual Babylon, Jerusalem herself!:

"How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously,
so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her
heart, I SIT A QUEEN, AND AM NO WIDOW, and shall see no
sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in ONE DAY, death,
and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned
with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her."
(Revelation 18:7-8)

When Isaiah described the destruction of the ancient city of
Babylon, consider what he said:

"And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of
horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is
fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken
unto the ground." (Isaiah 21:9)

If you are familiar with Endtime prophecy, then you will
know that John wrote down the very same words describing the
fall of the spiritual Babylon, Jerusalem:

"And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is
fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all
nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication."
(Revelation 14:8)

"And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon
the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation
of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of
every unclean and hateful bird." (Revelation 18:2)

For those of you who may still doubt this connection to
modern-day Jerusalem, please read my other article. Let me
leave you with a few questions concerning the queenly
spiritual wife of the king of Tyrus, Satan himself: If
John's book is a prophecy of the future, why would he write
of a past event which had happened hundreds of years before
he was ever born? It just doesn't make sense, does it? In
addition, the prophesies of the Old Testament were written
in Hebrew, while the prophecies of John were written
hundreds of years later in Greek. Doesn't it seem a bit
uncanny that both prophets would choose the same descriptive
words to describe the destruction of the physical Babylon
and the spiritual Babylon?

Well, one thing we do know is that these two are partners in
crime; so it is only fitting that Tyrus, her kingly husband,
should meet the same fate. As we were reading earlier, the
king of Tyrus will also be consumed by fire and be left as
ashes upon the ground. Let's take a look now at some
confirmations to Ezekiel's prophecy concerning this. To
begin with, consider these verses from the book of Malachi:

"For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven;
and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be
stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith
the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor
branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of
righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall
go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall
tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the
soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith
the LORD of hosts." (Malachi 4:1-3)

Isn't this exactly what the Lord told Satan in the Garden of
Eden, that the seed of Eve would bruise his head, that is
that the righteous seed of the Lord would tread upon Satan's
unrighteous seed; in fact, upon Satan himself? This is
exactly what the above verses are talking about. Here are the
verses from the book of Genesis:

"And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast
done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every
beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust
shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put
enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and
her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise
his heel." (Genesis 3:14-15)

The Apostle Paul also clearly confirmed the crushing of
Satan underfoot when he said:

"And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet
shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Amen." (Romans 16:20)

Not only that, as with Babylon, the idea of being burned by
fire will be fulfilled in both a literal and a spiritual
sense. For example, in Paul's discussion of the Antichrist,
the final incarnation of Satan on Earth, he tells us that
this Beast will be destroyed by the brightness of the Lord's
coming:

"And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall
consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with
the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is
after the working of Satan with all power and signs and
lying wonders," (2 Thessalonians 2:8-9)

And do you know why this is so? These verses will make it
perfectly clear:

"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living
God...For our God is a consuming fire."
(Hebrews 10:31, 12:29)

If you want a very graphical picture of what will happen to
the wicked when they behold the brightness of the Lord's
coming, consider this:

"And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite
all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their
flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet,
and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their
tongue shall consume away in their mouth."
(Zechariah 14:12)

The brilliance of an atomic bomb is nothing compared to the
magnificent splendor of the Lord at His Coming! For more on

So then, what happens when you burn something? It becomes
ashes under your feet. We are told that one of these days,
God is going to burn up all of the wicked. In fact, He is
going to torment and punish the wicked with fire during the
final years of this Earth. We are told that He is going to
burn up a third of the trees and all green grass. He is also
going to cast the Beast and the False Prophet into the lake
burning with fire and brimstone. In the battle of Gog and
Magog, the final battle between good and evil, He is going
to destroy by fire the last remaining wicked human beings
upon the Earth. Right after this He is going to cast Satan
into the lake burning with fire and brimstone where the
Beast and the False Prophet are. Following the Great White
Throne Judgment, He is going to cast all of the
incorrigibles into that same lake of fire. And ultimately,
the entire Earth and atmospheric heavens will be engulfed in
flames and burned up to make way for a New Heaven and a New
Earth. When all of these things come to pass, the wicked
will truly be ashes under our feet, including the King of
Tyrus/Satan himself! Here are all the Scriptures to support
these facts:

"And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet
that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived
them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that
worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake
of fire burning with brimstone." (Revelation 19:20)

"And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be
loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the
nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and
Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom
is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth
of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about,
and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of
heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them
was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the
beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day
and night for ever and ever." (Revelation 20:7-10)

"And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it,
from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and
there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small
and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and
another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the
dead were judged out of those things which were written in
the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the
dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the
dead which were in them: and they were judged every man
according to their works. And death and hell were cast into
the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever
was not found written in the book of life was cast into the
lake of fire." (Revelation 20:11-15)

"The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire
mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and
the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass
was burnt up." (Revelation 8:7)

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night;
in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise,
and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth
also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what
manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation
and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of
the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be
dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?"
(2 Peter 3:10-12)

"And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees:
therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is
hewn down, and cast into the fire." (Matthew 3:10)

"Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his
floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will
burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." (Matthew 3:12)

"As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire;
so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man
shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of
his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do
iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there
shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 13:40-42)

"Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart
from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the
devil and his angels:" (Matthew 25:41)

"If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and
is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the
fire, and they are burned." (John 15:6)

"And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord
Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God,
and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who
shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the
presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;"
(2 Thessalonians 1:7-9)

"And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat
on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and
brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of
lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and
brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed,
by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which
issued out of their mouths." (Revelation 9:17-18)

"And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their
mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt
them, he must in this manner be killed." (Revelation 11:5)

"The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which
is poured out without mixture into the cup of his
indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and
brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the
presence of the Lamb:" (Revelation 14:10)

"And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and
power was given unto him to scorch men with fire."
(Revelation 16:8)

"Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and
mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with
fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her."
(Revelation 18:8)

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and
murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters,
and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which
burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
(Revelation 21:8)

So, as we can see, in the days and years ahead, the Lord is
definitely going to be turning up the heat under the wicked.
But that isn't for some time to come. What is important for
now is that Satan is still around, and has been around for a
very long time. Just as in other articles I have shown how
the Lord has made cameo appearances in the Old Testament,
Satan has likewise done the same. He was the Serpent of Eden
in Genesis chapter three; he was the King of Tyrus in
Ezekiel; he worked through Judas in the Gospels; and he
spoke through Peter in the Gospels. We also know that he
will physically manifest himself through the Antichrist or
Beast possibly in the very near future as in shown in
Daniel, Thessalonians, Revelation, and other places. But,
these are by no means the only times his presence has been
seen or felt on Earth, as I will show shortly. Incidentally,
you can find additional prophecies concerning Tyrus in
Isaiah chapter twenty-three.

In previous articles I have mentioned how Satan is the god
of this world. This is confirmed by such verses as the
following:

"Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of
this world, according to the prince of the power of the air,
the spirit that now worketh in the children of
disobedience:" (Ephesians 2:2)

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places." (Ephesians 6:12)

"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of
them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious
gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto
them." (2 Corinthians 4:4)

Whether we like to hear it or not, those are the facts! This
world is Satan's realm! In fact, there are those like myself
who suspect that he may possibly rule it from the sky and
NOT from some fiery place within the Earth as many are
erroneously led to believe! There appears to be some kind of
a connection to the appearance of UFO's which have been on
the rise for the past five decades! Notice that Satan is
called 'the prince of the power of the air' and that later
in the very same epistle, Paul refers to 'the rulers of the
darkness of this world' and 'spiritual wickedness in high
places.' Remember, as I showed previously, this word
'prince' is used to denote spiritual entities and not just
physical earthly rulers. It is quite possible that Paul was
referring to the heavens, the skies, the atmosphere around
the Earth when he said 'high places'. If you are interested
in my personal opinion of the alien and UFO phenomenon,
please visit The E.D.G.E. Online website where you will find
quite a few articles I have written on this topic.

On the other hand, if Paul was not referring to the
atmospheric heavens as being 'high places', then he must
have been referring to places of Earthly power such as the
courts of kings, the palaces of shieks, and the national
capitols of presidents! This second possibility would fit in
perfectly with the King of Tyrus prophecy. The main point to
consider in all of this is that this world is Satan's, and
it has been his for a very long time. In thinking about all
of this, the Lord flashed through my mind Jesus' temptation
following His forty days of fasting in the wilderness. This
is something I have discussed in other articles as well. As
we know, one of Satan's temptations to Christ was the
following:

"Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high
mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and
the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will
I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me."
(Matthew 4:8-9)

Obviously, there is no way that Satan could have offered
these things to Jesus unless they were his to begin with,
right? Well, from what the Lord has been showing me, they
not only belong to him, but he has been at the helm of each
one of them either in a spiritual sense, or quite possibly,
even physically through an act of incarnation or possession
of the leaders of each of these empires! We have clearly
seen him in the prince or the king of Tyrus. He also
possessed or worked through Judas Iscariot. Please refer to
my article 'Are You Clean Every Whit?' for more details
concerning this. In fact, before he controlled Judas, Satan
even tried to take control of Peter since he obviously knew
that Peter was Jesus' chosen leader of the First Disciples.
This is made very clear in the Gospels as the following
verses bear out:

"From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his
disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer
many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and
be killed, and be raised again the third day. Then Peter
took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from
thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and
said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an
offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be
of God, but those that be of men." (Matthew 16:21-23)

This was clearly Satan speaking right through the body and
mouth of Peter. Notice that the Lord didn't rebuke Peter; He
rebuked Satan directly. Over in Luke, Jesus reveals the
heavy spiritual battle which was being waged for control of
Peter the night he betrayed the Lord:

"And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired
to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have
prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art
converted, strengthen thy brethren. And he said unto him,
Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to
death. And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not
crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou
knowest me." (Luke 22:31-34)

Have you ever wondered exactly what Jesus meant when He said
to Peter, 'and when thou art converted'? It seems to me that
Jesus was referring to the fact that while Peter was one of
The Twelve, his faith in the Lord was not nearly as strong
as it would be later after he received the anointing of the
Holy Spirit. Before that time, we know from the Scriptures
that Peter failed on several occasions. Close examination of
his words and actions prove that he was a self-confident man
full of pride often motivated my his own feelings and human
understanding of things. He definitely was not the
Spirit-filled leader he became later. It was because of
these human weaknesses that Satan was able to attack Jesus
through him. The main thing to remember is that Satan is
never happy with being second in charge. He wants to be at
the very top; and his pride and vanity will never allow him
to settle for less. He will use anyone and anything he can
to reach his goal!

In my article 'Leviathan: An Ancient Dragon?', I discussed
how Satan is also represented in the Bible by a great red
dragon. Here are a few key verses on this topic:

"And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a
great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and
seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third
part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth:
and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be
delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born."
(Revelation 12:3-4)

"And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of
the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he
laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the
Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast
him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal
upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till
the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he
must be loosed a little season." (Revelation 20:1-3)

One thing I pointed out in the 'Leviathan' article is that
Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, the very first world empire, was
also referred to as a dragon. When I wrote that article, I
was assuming it was just a figure of speech. However, I now
see that I should have taken it for what it really meant:
Satan either possessed or was physically manifested through
Pharaoh as well! Surprisingly, the prophecies concerning
Pharaoh, the dragon of Egypt, come right after the
prophecies against Tyrus in chapters twenty-nine through
thirty-two. In the following verses we make the connection
between the Egyptian dragon, and the dragon Satan in the
book of Revelation:

"Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am
against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that
lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river
is mine own, and I have made it for myself." (Ezekiel 29:3)

"Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of
Egypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of the
nations, and thou art as a whale in the seas: and thou
camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with
thy feet, and fouledst their rivers." (Ezekiel 32:2)

[Note: in the second verse, the translators' notes in two
different Bibles state that the word 'whale' has an
alternate translation of 'dragon' or 'sea serpent. These are
the same things I revealed in the 'Leviathan' article.]

If you read these chapters in their entirety, you will see
that this judgment against Egypt will be carried out by
Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, which we will get to in
a minute. Here is a key verse though to support this:

"Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the
land of Egypt unto Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and he
shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her
prey; and it shall be the wages for his army."
(Ezekiel 29:19)

The above verse comes right after the one I shared earlier
in which it was explained that when Nebuchadnezzar destroyed
Tyrus, he received no wages for his army because the people
of Tyrus had moved most of their riches out of danger to the
island-city. This was not to be the case with Egypt. She
would feel the full wrath of Babylon! What is most important
here though is what we find in chapter thirty-one. Just as
in the destruction of Tyrus, we find some very cryptic
language which points to whom the prophecy is really
directed. In this chapter the Lord through the mouth of
Ezekiel is comparing Egypt with Assyria. Assyria is the
empire which came after the Egyptian Empire and preceded the
Babylonian empire as per the image of Daniel chapter two. In
a very mysterious parable, notice how Assyria is described
as a beautiful cedar of Lebanon. You will immediately see
the connection to the description of Satan in the prophecy
against Tyrus:

"The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir
trees were not like his boughs, and the chesnut trees were
not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was
like unto him in his beauty. I have made him fair by the
multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden,
that were in the garden of God, envied him."
(Ezekiel 31:8-9)

Here again we see mention of the Garden of God, the Garden
of Eden! We also are told how beautiful and fair this 'tree'
was, just as the prince and king of Tyrus were described.
Obviously, these 'trees' are actually referring to spiritual
beings, and Satan was counted as one of the fairest and most
beautiful creations of the Lord, so much so that he was
envied by the other sons of God! Just as we saw with the
prince and king of Tyrus, and also with the son of
perdition, the Antichrist, in 2 Thessalonians chapter two,
Satan, personified by the Assyrian, is lifted up in his
pride against Heaven:

"Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast lifted
up thyself in height, and he hath shot up his top among the
thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height; I
have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mighty one
of the heathen; he shall surely deal with him: I have driven
him out for his wickedness." (Ezekiel 31:10-11)

In the prophecy against Tyrus, we saw that the Lord was
speaking simultaneously to the actual human ruler of Tyrus,
as well as to Satan who used the physical man as his
vehicle. In the above verses we see the very same thing
happening. It was King Nebuchadnezzar who would become the
next great empire after Egypt and Assyria. After comparing
Pharaoh king of Egypt to the Assyrian, in the final verse of
the chapter we read:

"To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among
the trees of Eden? yet shalt thou be brought down with the
trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt
lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be
slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude,
saith the Lord GOD." (Ezekiel 31:18)

So here again, we see that the Lord isn't just prophesying
against the human Pharaoh, but also against Satan himself
who manifests his power through Pharaoh. When you have time,
you may want to read all four chapters to get a better
understanding of these things. However, there is one verse
in chapter thirty which I want to point out to you. In verse
twenty four we read the following:

"And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and
put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh's arms,
and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly
wounded man." (Ezekiel 30:24)

It might interest you to know that quite a few years ago, I
discovered that there is only one other place in the entire
Bible where we find the phrase 'deadly wound' or 'deadly
wounded'; and that is in Revelation chapter thirteen which
describes the final empire of the Antichrist/Beast! We are
told that one of his seven heads has a deadly wound which is
healed:

"And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and
his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered
after the beast." (Revelation 13:3)

Since I became aware of this connection, I have always had a
strong feeling that it is very significant. It is now, many
years later, while writing this article, that the Lord has
finally clarified things for me.

Thus, piece by piece, verse by verse, you can see how the
Lord has been showing me the trail of Satan down through
history. This is something I have never even thought about
before. It is certainly not something I anticipated when I
began this article. This is just another one of those
uncanny revelations the Lord seems to enjoy giving to me. So
far we have seen Satan appear at the following places in
chronological order: Heaven, Eden, Egypt, Assyria, Persia
and Greece. As you may recall from my 'Kings Of The North
And South' articles, I explained that the world empires
described in the imagery of Daniel chapter two were Babylon,
Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome. This is because Egypt and
Assyria had already passed as world empires at the time of
Daniel's prophecies. So what about Babylon? Can a direct
link be made to Satan? Most definitely, and we find it in a
chapter which is widely known to discuss the very fall of
Satan! Beginning in Isaiah chapter thirteen we read of the
Lord's prophecy against Babylon. In verse seventeen we are
told that the tool of judgment against the Babylonians will
be the Medes, the first half of the empire of Medo-Persia
which followed Babylon in history as well as in Daniel's
image:

"Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall
not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight
in it." (Isaiah 13:17)

Moving up to chapter fourteen which continues the judgment
against Babylon, we find the exact same kind of sudden twist
in the Scriptures as we found in the prophecies against
Tyrus, Egypt and Assyria. First we are told of the human
king who is being judged, and then all of a sudden we
discover that the Lord is also prophesying against Satan
himself through a series of cryptic verses. Consider these
Scriptures which suddenly appear right in the middle of the
prophecy against Babylon:

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the
morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst
weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I
will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the
stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the
congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above
the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet
thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the
pit." (Isaiah 14:12-15)

Here we see a very clear reference to Satan's fall from
Heaven. In the translator's notes to this verse, we are told
that the alternate translation for Lucifer here is 'day
star'; thus it could be read, 'O day star, son of the
morning! As we know from other verses in the Bible, stars
are also symbolic of the sons of God. As I have shown
elsewhere, such as in my article 'Rightly Dividing The Word
Of Truth', Satan was indeed counted among the sons of God in
the book of Job. We also find this verse in the book of Job
describing the sons of God who beheld Creation:

"When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of
God shouted for joy?" (Job 38:7)

The fact that Satan, via the king of Babylon, wanted to
exalt his throne, or seat, to Heaven goes right along with
other verses we have read previously:

The prince of Tyrus:

"Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the
Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast
said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of
the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set
thine heart as the heart of God: (Ezekiel 28:2)

The Antichrist/Beast:

"Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called
God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the
temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
(2 Thessalonians 2:4)

In thinking about Satan being fallen from Heaven and cut
down to the ground, the Lord immediately reminded me of
something Jesus Himself said:

"And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall
from heaven." (Luke 10:18)

What I find interesting about this verse is that it comes
only a few verses after the ones where Jesus mentions the
destruction of Tyre, (Tyrus) and Sidon, (Zidon), the two
cities which Ezekiel prophesied against as discussed earlier
in this article! In this verse about lightning, could Jesus
have been referring to Satan's fall as the king of Tyrus?
Look at those phrases from the verse in Isaiah: 'How art
thou fallen from heaven...' and 'cut down to the ground'.
They are identical to what Jesus said: 'lighting fall from
heaven.' When we see lightning, doesn't it seem to cut or
slice through the atmosphere like a knife? Doesn't lightning
quite often strike the ground or Earth? The connection seems
obvious to me.

After these unusual verses nestled in the middle of Isaiah
chapter fourteen, as with the other prophecies, the words of
the prophet are then re-directed at the human king who is
being prophesied against. In fact, one interesting point is
that in verse twenty-five of this same chapter, we see the
Lord referring to the king of Babylon as 'the Assyrian':

"That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my
mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart
from off them, and his burden depart from off their
shoulders." (Isaiah 14:25)

The reason for this is quite simple. As I explained in my
article 'The Kings Of The North And South Part 1', when
these various empires took over each other, they absorbed
part of their culture, language, customs, etc. As pointed
out in that article, King Nebuchadnezzar even spoke or
understood Syriac. Perhaps he was even of a Syrian
bloodline.

If we put together all of the Scriptures I have shared up to
this point, we find that we have thus far followed Satan's
trail from Heaven to Eden, to Egypt, to Assyria, to Babylon,
to Medo-Persia, to Greece. If you are familiar with world
history, then you are probably aware that following the
Grecian era, the strong-fisted Roman empire came into power.
The question is, are there any Biblical indications of Satan
flexing his power and defying God as in all of these
previous leaders? There most certainly is! As discussed in
my in-depth study of the Daniel prophecies in the article
'The Kings Of The North And South Part 1', Rome was
represented in Daniel chapter two by a pair of iron legs. In
the seventh chapter we see Rome symbolized by a fourth
dreadful beast from which ten horns later arise followed by
an eleventh horn after them:

"After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth
beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it
had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and
stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse
from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten
horns. I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up
among them another little horn, before whom there were three
of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in
this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth
speaking great things." (Daniel 7:7-8)

Notice that, just like the former earthly rulers we have
discussed who Satan used to try to exalt himself up to
Heaven, this horn has 'the eyes of a man, and a mouth
speaking great things'. This idea of speaking great things
is again repeated in verse twenty:

"And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the
other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of
that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great
things, whose look was more stout than his fellows."
(Daniel 7:20)

The prophet Daniel is obviously deeply impressed by this
eleventh horn or king who rises out of the ruins of the
Roman empire, for he tells us a third time, and even more
clearly, that this leader will blaspheme God, just as Satan
does:

"And he shall speak great words against the most High, and
shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to
change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand
until a time and times and the dividing of time."
(Daniel 7:25)

Thus, it is now clear through Scriptures that Satan was not
only present during the time of the ancient Roman Empire,
but that he continues to be present in its final remains
almost two thousand years later today. The question is, who
are these ten horns, and who is this eleventh horn? If you
read my Daniel classes, 'The Kings Of The North And South',
you will see that, unless the Lord shows me otherwise, I
believe this eleventh horn is the Antichrist discussed
earlier who will arise out of the Middle East.

In Daniel chapter eight we see another connection in
following the trail of Satan through the Grecian Empire. As
pointed out in the Daniel articles, following Alexander the
Great's demise, his empire was divided up by his four
primary generals. From following the clues, I deduced that
it would be from the Syrian/Babylonian sector that the
Antichrist would arise. In the eight chapter, we find the
following verses which again show a horn, or worldly leader,
exalting himself to Heaven:

"And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which
waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the
east, and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed great, even
to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and
of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. Yea, he
magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him
the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his
sanctuary was cast down." (Daniel 8:9-11)

This idea of magnifying himself against God is clarified for
us even further in the twenty-fifth verse of the same
chapter where we see him challenging Jesus Himself!:

"And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper
in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and
by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against
the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand."
(Daniel 8:25)

The exploits of this fierce king who arises out of one of
the four sectors of the ancient Grecian Empire continues in
Daniel chapter eleven, and it is there that we find
additional proof that he is indeed Satan's tool for the
hour:

"And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall
exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and
shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and
shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that
that is determined shall be done." (Daniel 11:36)

In case you are a little confused as to how this demonic
leader can arise out of both Rome and Greece and still be
the same person, the answer is really simple. Just remember
that as each empire overtook the one before it, it also took
over the land, people and culture of the previous empire.
While Daniel first tells us that ten horns and then an
eleventh horn will arise out of Rome, this is not specific
enough for us to determine the possible place of origin of
the Antichrist. By telling us that he will also arise out
of one of the four sectors of the Grecian Empire which came
before it, this helps to narrow down our search
considerably. If you would like to understand this more
fully, please read the two 'Kings' articles. The best way to
understand this is to pretend that each prophecy we have
covered is like a transparency in time. If we lay each one
on top of each other, things become clearer and clearer as
more detail is added to the picture.

So then, we have now followed Satan from the very beginning
of his arrival on Earth at Eden! Isn't that amazing? We know
exactly where he started, and exactly where he is going to
end up! If you want to take the time to really see this in a
visual format, you might want to get a map and mark each
spot on it. It ought to be quite interesting. So far I have
only given you the key points on the map. To give you a
little more to work with, I am now going to give you more
details to add to your map, whether you just do it in your
head, or else on a real map. Before Satan moved to Rome, do
you know where he was before that? Well, obviously, during
Jesus' ministry, he had to be in Jerusalem, right? Remember,
he wanted to get as close to Jesus as he possibly could. One
of his first attacks was when Jesus was only two years old:

"Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men,
was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the
children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts
thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time
which he had diligently enquired of the wise men."
(Matthew 2:16)

As discussed previously, the second attack is when Satan
tempted Jesus following his forty days of fasting in the
wilderness. Would Satan have attacked Him unless he had
thought there was a chance of winning? Remember, Jesus was
in human flesh and was tempted in all points as we are
tempted:

"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with
the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points
tempted like as we are, yet without sin." (Hebrews 4:15)

We also know that throughout the course of His ministry,
Jesus was attacked by the Jews and by certain towns and
villages which rejected His message. In the case of the
Jewish Elders at Jerusalem, Jesus clearly exposed them in
His famous blast in Matthew chapter twenty-three. In the
Gospel of John, He tells them and us, exactly who is behind
their devilish deeds:

"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your
father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and
abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.
When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a
liar, and the father of it." (John 8:44)

Towards the end of Jesus' earthly ministry, we see Satan
getting desperate when he attacks the Lord directly through
Peter's rebuke, and then through the Lord's betrayal by
Judas. One thing which seems very apparent to me through all
of this study is that, just as he is not omnipresent,
neither is Satan all-knowing. If he was, do you think he
would have influenced the Jews and the Romans to crucify
Jesus? If Satan had known that Jesus' death would mean his
own defeat, do you think he would have worked towards that
end? For this reason, while he is a spiritual being, it
doesn't seem to me that he is all-powerful, omnipresent, or
all-knowing. Throughout history, he has been having to
second guess God's next move. Part of the mystery of God is
that even the angels do not know everything as Jesus Himself
confirmed when He said:

"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels
of heaven, but my Father only." (Matthew 24:36)

In speaking of the mystery of salvation and the Old
Testament prophets, Peter tells us in part:

"Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but
unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported
unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with
the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the
angels desire to look into." (1 Peter 1:12)

Why would the angels be desirous to look into these things
unless it is because they don't know them?

After Jesus' Death and Resurrection, we know that Satan
continued to remain in Jerusalem for a while. After all, the
Jewish Temple was his favorite haunt. It was also in
Jerusalem where Saul began his campaign of terror against
the First Disciples. But, eventually Satan did leave there;
but he didn't go directly to Rome. Instead, he spent quite a
bit of time running around trying to slow down the spread of
Christianity. If you are still using that imaginary map, you
will want to put a mark on Samaria, as that was one of his
stop-overs also. In fact, Samaria was full of pagan devil
worshippers from Babylon and elsewhere. This is why the Jews
hated the Samarians. Is it any wonder then that in Acts
chapter eight we find that Simon the Sorcerer totally
controlled Samaria? Just like all of these other leaders
Satan has used, Simon was exalted in his pride and treated
as a god:

"But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime
in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of
Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: To whom
they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying,
This man is the great power of God." (Acts 8:9-10)

It was right after this that Saul was converted and
eventually began his missionary journeys. Well, obviously,
Satan knew he had to stop Paul. I don't think he was too
worried about the other Disciples in Jerusalem at the time
as they were kind of compromising with the Jewish Elders
concerning the need for circumcision as a part of salvation.
Satan has his other demons to help with the minor jobs.
Remember what I said earlier; he always wants to be closest
to the person who can do the most damage to his Kingdom of
Darkness. For this reason, after leaving Samaria, we find
Satan in Damascus a few years later inciting the Jews to
kill Paul:

"But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the
Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very
Christ. And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews
took counsel to kill him:" (Acts 9:22-23)

After this attack, Paul escapes to Jerusalem where he only
lasts for fifteen days before Satan, who has obviously
followed him there, stirs up the Jews again:

"And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.
And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and
disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay
him." (Acts 9:28-29)

Here we see Satan stirring up his old friends from the
Grecian Empire, his former haunt. It might even be that
these were Grecian Jews. After all, as I pointed out in
'Biblical Cafeteria Part 1', by this time the Jews had
synagogues spread out all over that part of the world. This
was due to the dispersion, or 'diaspora', which had begun
since the invasion of Israel by Assyria and then Babylon.

At this point I would like to backtrack a little in order to
emphasize and expand upon an idea which I stated earlier. As
I said, unlike God, Satan is a created being, and thus he is
not omnipresent. He can only be in one place at one time;
and he will always be in the place where he can do the most
damage to God's Work. He will give orders to all of his
lower princes and demons, but he will make sure he is at the
right place at the right time controlling and manipulating
his chosen vessel. Being as he is a spiritual being, he is
not affected by time as we are. He can pop in and out of it
at will. As we have now seen, it is possible to literally
trace where Satan has been every step of the way since the
very beginning. As we all know, he first tried to pervert
God's plans in the Garden of Eden when he successfully
convinced Adam and Eve that they could become as gods:

"For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your
eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good
and evil." (Genesis 3:5)

Following this event, he tried to stop Christ's bloodline by
having evil Cain kill his righteous brother Abel:

"And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass,
when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel
his brother, and slew him." (Genesis 4:8)

Next he fomented an angelic rebellion in Genesis chapter six
hoping to corrupt the righteous bloodline of Seth who was
Abel's replacement. This is when the giants were born and is
covered in several of my other articles. Satan must have
thought he had won when the Lord decided to send The Flood
in order to destroy the wickedness spawned by the giants:

"And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the
earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his
heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD
that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his
heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have
created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and
the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it
repenteth me that I have made them." (Genesis 6:5-7)

Satan later realized his error in judgment when righteous
Noah built the Ark and survived The Flood with seven other
members of his family:

"But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD."
(Genesis 6:8)

In Genesis chapter eleven we see Satan trying a new
technique when he works through Nimrod and his followers who
attempted to reach heaven through building the Tower of
Babel:

"And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower,
whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name,
lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole
earth." (Genesis 11:4)

Shortly after this we find a pivotal part of God's plan
being fulfilled with the births of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
the heirs of the promise. Satan is again hovering close by
just waiting to strike out like the subtle venomous viper
that he is, hoping to defeat God's plan. After Jacob
deceives his father Isaac and steals the blessing from Esau
his brother, Esau determines to kill his brother, now the
heir of the promise:

"And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his
father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of
mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my
brother Jacob." (Genesis 27:41)

Later on we have the birth of Jacob's twelve sons, the
eldest of which was Judah, thus making him the heir of the
promise. Satan again enters the picture when Judah's first
son, Er, turns out to be wicked and the Lord has to slay
him. Judah's second son, Onan, then refuses to give an heir
to Tamar, the wife of his dead brother, so the Lord ends up
slaying him as well:

"And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the
LORD; and the LORD slew him." (Genesis 38:7)

"And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came
to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he
spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to
his brother. And the thing which he did displeased the LORD:
wherefore he slew him also." (Genesis 38:9-10)

Judah ends up making love to Tamar when she disguises
herself as a harlot; and from this union, the bloodline is
continued when Pharez is born with his twin brother Zerah:

"And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that,
behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou
broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name
was called Pharez. And afterward came out his brother, that
had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was
called Zarah." (Genesis 38:29-30)

It is then that we re-enter the picture described previously
with Pharaoh king of Egypt who becomes Satan's first world
leader to try to stamp out the righteous bloodline of Christ
through the enslavement of and attempted extermination of
the children of Israel before their escape from Egypt:

"Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not
Joseph. And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of
the children of Israel are more and mightier than we: Come
on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it
come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they
join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get
them up out of the land." (Exodus 1:8-10)

"And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of
which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the
other Puah: And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife
to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be
a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then
she shall live...And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying,
Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and
every daughter ye shall save alive." (Exodus 1:15-16, 22)

Satan, via Pharaoh, attacked again when he tried to have
Moses, the future deliverer of the Hebrew children, killed
after he slew the Egyptian:

"Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses.
But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the
land of Midian: and he sat down by a well." (Exodus 2:15)

When Moses returns to Egypt some forty years later, Pharaoh
quickly shows his disdain for the true God of Heaven:

"And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his
voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I
let Israel go." (Exodus 5:2)

As we know, after a series of plagues, the final one being
the death of all firstborn man and beast in Egypt, Pharaoh
finally did let the children of Israel go. He then changed
his mind and pursued them to the Red Sea where he lost his
entire army. With the loss of his army, and the entire land
of Egypt destroyed, Pharaoh's once great kingdom was reduced
to a minor power. After this event, the children of Israel
wondered through the wilderness for forty years while the
Lord purged out the older complaining generation who Satan
stirred up time and again against Moses and Aaron. Later,
when they actually entered the promised land of Canaan, home
of the pagan descendants of Ham, Satan used these pagan
leaders and their nations to fight against the invading
Israelites. While they may not have known it, Satan was just
using them to try to stop God's promises from being
fulfilled.

So as should now be seen, Satan has been busy at work since
the dawn of human history trying to frustrate the plans of
God. Just look at who was Israel's primary opponent at any
given time in the Old Testament, and that is where you will
find Satan. And because his main interest has always been in
trying to stop the Work of God, you will often find him very
close to those who were in some way associated with the
bloodline of Christ. Consider how the Lord had Esther, one
of Jesus' ancestors, marry the pagan king Ahasuerus of the
Medo-Persian Empire in order to prevent the evil Haman from
wiping out the Jews. Consider how the evil king Saul sought
to kill David, another ancestor of Jesus. The trail of
Satan, the King of Empires, is clear throughout the Bible.

As I thought on the above, the Lord gave me a whole new
understanding of world history. Instead of looking at it on
the surface, we need to look behind the scenes in the Spirit
World. Because he is the King of Empires, Satan will use a
certain world power or individual as long as it or they
serve his purpose. Eventually, it gets to a point where God
has to step in and destroy that power because they pass the
point of no return in their iniquity. While in one regard it
is God using these nations to fulfill His purposes, such as
in punishing rebellious Israel, it is still their choice to
do evil and to follow after Satan. The Lord doesn't force
them to do that. When Pharaoh of Egypt was destroyed, Satan
simply moved on to Assyria. When Assyria had fulfilled its
purpose and was destroyed, Satan moved on to Babylon. And so
it goes. All we see on the surface is one empire warring
against another down through history, but it is really Satan
and his minions making sure that they stay close to their
target by having an evil influence on those leaders and
nations who can do the most damage to the Lord's children.
The war in the physical world is just a manifestation of the
greatar war taking place in the Spirit World. The Daniel
chapters clearly demonstrate this.

To give you another example of this idea, consider again the
example of Paul. Satan realized that Paul was a major threat
to his Kingdom of Darkness, so he stayed hot on Paul's
trail. When Paul had to flee Jerusalem after stirring up the
Grecians there, do you think Satan stayed behind at
Jerusalem? There seems to be evidence that he didn't. Notice
what we are told after Paul had left:

"Which when the brethren knew, they brought him down to
Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus. Then had the
churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria,
and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and
in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied."
(Acts 9:30-31)

Why did the churches have rest? Only because that fireball
Paul was gone? Partially. It may have been because when
Paul left, Satan left with him as he knew that Paul was a
major threat due to his vision for carrying the Gospel far
and wide, while the Apostles were still preaching primarily
in Jerusalem and around other parts of Israel. This doesn't
mean that the Disciples in Jerusalem didn't have their
problems. Peter and John were thrown in prison a number of
times, and both Stephen and James were martyred in Jerusalem
as well. Jesus exposed the bloody sins of Jerusalem when He
said:

"And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we
would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the
prophets. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye
are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye
up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye
generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of
hell? Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise
men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and
crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your
synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: That upon
you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth,
from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias
son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the
altar. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come
upon this generation. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that
killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto
thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together,
even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye
would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate."
(Matthew 23:30-38)

After killing James, King Herod realized that it had pleased
the Jews, so he then went after Peter as well and had him
imprisoned:

"Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his
hands to vex certain of the church. And he killed James the
brother of John with the sword. And because he saw it
pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also.
(Then were the days of unleavened bread.) And when he had
apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to
four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after
Easter to bring him forth to the people." (Acts 12:1-4)

Fortunately, the Lord sent one of his angels to free Peter
before Herod had a chance to kill him. It was shortly after
this that the Lord decided that Herod had gone far enough.
One day, just like Satan, foolish King Herod was all lifted
up in his pride thinking himself to be a god, and look what
happened to him:

"And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat
upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the
people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and
not of a man. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote
him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of
worms, and gave up the ghost." (Acts 12:21-23)

So, Satan lost another one of his pawns to the wrath of God!
If you read my article 'Biblical Cafeteria', you will see
that Satan incited the Jews against Paul and his companions
wherever they went. He was constantly on their trail
stirring up trouble! Paul not only preached to the common
people, but he also witnessed to many educated people like
Governors Felix and Festus, and King Agrippa and Queen
Bernice. Paul was a powerhouse for the Lord, and Satan
didn't like it one bit. Eventually Satan followed Paul all
the way to Rome where he made sure that Paul was eventually
beheaded, but not before he had won some to the Lord in the
very household of Caesar! While Paul was in prison awaiting
his trial, he wrote his epistle to the church at Philippi.
Notice how Paul ends this letter:

"All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of
Caesar's household." (Philippians 4:22)

There is no doubt that Satan likewise controlled and worked
through the pagan Emperors of Rome. He most certainly used
the crazed Emperor Nero as one of his tools. In the
translator's notes at the end of Paul's second epistle to
Timothy, we are told that it was written from Rome when Paul
was brought before Nero again after his second arrest. Based
on Paul's estimated year of martyrdom in 67 A.D., it seems
quite probable that it was the crazed Nero who ordered his
execution. It was shortly after this that Nero burned Rome!
So right up to the end of his life, Paul continued to
witness and win souls to the Kingdom of God, despite all of
Satan's attempts to stop him.

So far we have traced Satan all the way to Rome; but what
happened after Paul's death? From the scriptural evidence I
have found, it seems that for a time ole Lucifer still hung
around the general area of Rome, Greece and Asia Minor.
After all, this was the center for the Early Church. Towards
the end of the first century, the Apostle John is exiled to
Patmos, a small island in the Aegean Sea between Greece and
Asia Minor. From what I have read, an attempt was made to
boil him alive in hot oil, but because the Lord wasn't
through with him yet, John's life was spared, and he ended
up on Patmos where he received one of the greatest
revelations the world has ever known: the book of
Revelation! In the first few chapters, under the Lord's
guidance, the exiled John writes letters of admonition to
the seven churches which were in Asia Minor at the time:

"John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto
you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which
is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his
throne;" (Revelation 1:4)

Just as in the prophecies we covered from the Old Testament
where we see Satan attempting to sit in the seat of God, we
discover in one of John's letters to the churches that Satan
has now planted his earthly throne right in the middle of
Asia Minor in Pergamos!:

"I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where
Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not
denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my
faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan
dwelleth." (Revelation 2:13)

And exactly where is it in Pergamos where Satan might have
had his throne set up? While in Jerusalem, it was obviously
the very seat of the high priest in The Second Temple of
Solomon! In a letter to one of the other churches in Asia
Minor, John gives us a hint that this is probably where it
was located in Pergamos as well: in the Jewish synagogue!:

"I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou
art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they
are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan."
(Revelation 2:9)

This same idea is repeated in the very next chapter in
another letter written by John"

"Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which
say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will
make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know
that I have loved thee." (Revelation 3:9)

Notice the difference in terminology. In two letters we are
told that they are the synagogue of Satan, meaning that
Satan's influence is there, probably through his demons.
However, in the very first verse it is actually referred to
as 'Satan's seat'. For this reason, I tend to believe that
towards the end of the First Century, Satan had his Earthly
throne set up in Pergamos. Based on this evidence, it is
apparent that Satan continued to fight against the Early
Church by stirring up the Jews, by introducing false
brethren and false doctrines such as gnosticism, by killing
some of the Disciples, (such as Antipas in the above verse),
and even by raising up false prophets. The epistles are full
of warnings concerning false brethren who had crept into the
midst of the Early Church. My article 'Endtime Witnessing'
contains quite a few verses on this topic of false brethren.

Basically, what we have seen so far in this study is that
since the dawn of human history, Satan has had free reign
over civilization. After all, as stated previously, he is
the god of this world. He is the prince of the power of the
air, the spirit that now works in the children of
disobedience. What we have also seen is that in the Old
Testament, from the book of Genesis to the book of
Zechariah, he closely followed Jewish developemnt and
expansion making every attempt possible to deter or hinder
the Work of God, that being the birth of our Saviour. In the
New Testament, we see that despite his defeat at Calvary,
Satan did not relent in his attack against God's plan of
salvation. This is, after all, God's primary work on Earth
as Jesus Himself stated:

"Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God,
that ye believe on him whom he hath sent." (John 6:29)

From the moment Christ's death on the Cross gave birth to
Christianity, Satan followed its development throughout
Israel, the Middle East and Mediterranean countries hoping
to thwart the spread of the Gospel of the Kingdom. In
essence, Satan has been extremely busy moving from one place
to another hoping to prevent God's ultimate plan of
Universal Reconciliation from occurring. He has been walking
to and fro in the earth as is revealed in the book of Job:

"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present
themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan
answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the
earth, and from walking up and down in it." (Job 1:6-7)

We have now followed Satan, also known as the King of Tyrus,
the King of Empires, all the way up to the end of the First
Century. At this point, the trail becomes blurred because we
have no more Scriptures to work with. However, as you will
see when I continue this discussion in part two of this
article, based on the Scriptures we do have, and the
research which I have done, I have discovered some very
disconcerting evidence and some frightening possibilities
which tie in directly to the prophecies of Daniel, as well
as to the book of Revelation. What I have shared thus far is
only the tip of the iceberg! Believe me, there is much more
to say on this topic of Satan, King of Tyrus, King of
Empires! I'll see you in part two! I hope this article has
been informational and a blessing to many!
