The Scope Of Satan's Power, God's Work And Satan's Plan,
Omnipresence, The Mystery Of God's Plan, Jesus' Current
Position And Future Inheritance, The Kingdoms Of Light And
Darkness, The War Of The Spirit, The Exile Of Satan, The
Heavenly Host On Earth, And God's Plan Fulfilled

While such a thought may seem frightening to some, from the
various indications we are given throughout the Bible, I am
currently convinced that Satan has full reign of the Earth.
There is clear evidence that he has been walking up and down
in it for literally thousands of years; in fact, since the
Garden of Eden. Consider the following example verses:

"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field
which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman,
Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the
garden?" (Genesis 3:1).

"And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then
Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in
the earth, and from walking up and down in it." (Job 1:7)

Because he is the god of this world, some four thousand
years after the Creation, Satan was still able to tempt
Jesus by offering Him the physical kingdoms of this Earth:

"Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high
mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and
the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will
I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me."
(Matthew 4:8-9)

"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of
them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious
gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto
them." (2 Corinthians 4:4)

We also know from Paul's letter to the Ephesians, that
Satan's control extends beyond the Earth to the atmospheric
heavens where he reigns as the Prince of the Power of the

"Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of
this world, according to the prince of the power of the air,
the spirit that now worketh in the children of
disobedience:" (Ephesians 2:2)

It is obvious from the above verses that Satan has a lot of
freedom to do as he pleases; so what one thing is he being
prohibited or hindered from doing in Paul's second letter to
the Thessalonians? Why is Michael the Archangel holding him
back? Being the iconoclast that I am, I am going to suggest
that Satan is being prevented from actually incarnating in a
human body just as Jesus had done as the physical Son of
God. In other words, perhaps up until now, all of Satan's
dirty deeds have been achieved through outside oppression,
through demonic influence on people's thoughts, or possibly
even through temporary possession. Perhaps he has never been
permitted to fully incarnate as a flesh and bone human
being. If this is indeed his desire, why has he so
desperately been trying to achieve this? Allow me to suggest
that it is because he has wanted to force God's hand. I
discussed this topic in 'Satan: King Of Tyrus, King Of
Empires!'. This requires a bit of thought to understand, but
it really isn't that difficult.

We already know from what I have already shared in part one
of this article, that Satan is the Destroyer. He is the
Author of Confusion and Chaos. He is everything which God is
not. He is in total opposition to the Plan and Work of God.
Jesus clearly defined that work in the following verses:

"...This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he
hath sent...And this is the will of him that sent me, that
every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may
have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last
day." (John 6:29b, 40)

Thus we see that Satan's whole goal was, and continues to
be, to frustrate God's overall Plan of Salvation, and to set
up himself as 'God', with us as the subjugated slaves of his
Kingdom of Darkess. However, as the Scriptures make clear,
the choice is ours:

"Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to
obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin
unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"
(Romans 6:16)

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the
one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one,
and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."
(Matthew 6:24)

"Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath
made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of
bondage." (Galatians 5:1)

This has been Satan's whole plan since the day he caused The
Fall in Eden. Once The Fall had occurred, and God's Plan of
Salvation was put into effect, Satan's next objective was to
prevent Divine Restitution from being implemented. This was
the greatest threat to his own Kingdom of Darkness. Thus, he
did everything within his power to frustrate, hinder and
prevent the birth of the Saviour through the righteous line
of Seth; which would have been through Abel had it not been
for Satan's victory in that particular battle. One of
Satan's most serious early attacks was the demonic invasion
in Genesis six where he and his cohorts attempted to corrupt
the righteous seed through having sexual relations with
humankind. This is thoroughly explained in such articles as
'Nephilim: The Giants Of Genesis'. As we all know, it was
for this reason that the Lord had to stop the spread of evil
by destroying humanity through The Flood in Noah's day:

"And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth,
and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will
destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth;
both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls
of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them."
(Genesis 6:6-7)

Following The Flood, Satan continued to resist God by trying
to build up his own kingdom through such incidents as Nimrod
and the Tower of Babel. Throughout the Old Testament, we
witness Satan repeatedly trying to destroy the children of
Israel, and in particular, the line of David through which
Jesus would eventually be born. Consider for example the
story of the Jewish heroine Queen Esther who protected her
people from the evil Haman. Through an act of deceit, he
tried to trick Persian King Ahasuerus/Xerxes into destroying
all of the Jews within his vast empire which stretched from
India to Ethiopia. Fortunately for us, Satan failed, and
Haman found himself hanging on the very gallows he had
prepared for Mordecai, the uncle of Queen Esther. Thus,
despite the Evil Usurper's many failed attmepts, Jesus was
born exactly according to God's Word as found in the Old
Testament prophecy:

"But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among
the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth
unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth
have been from of old, from everlasting." (Micah 5:2)

Amazingly enough, the counterpart to this prophecy is found
simply by reversing the Scriptural reference and going to
Matthew 2:5-6 where we read:

"And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it
is written by the prophet, And thou Bethlehem, in the land
of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for
out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people
Israel." (Matthew 2:5-6)

Having failed for four thousand years to stop God's Plan,
that evil Demon of Darkness then attempted to snuff out
young Jesus' life through an atrocity committed by the Roman
puppet, vain King Herod:

"Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men,
was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the
children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts
thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time
which he had diligently enquired of the wise men. Then was
fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet,
saying, In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and
weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her
children, and would not be comforted, because they are not."
(Matthew 2:16-18)

Fortunately, His Celestial Father was more than aware of the
evil machinations of His Chief Adversary; and thus He warned
Joseph in a dream to take the young child Jesus and His
mother to Egypt; but not before He had provided for their
trip through the gifts of the wise men from the East:

"And when they were come into the house, they saw the young
child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped
him: and when they had opened their treasures, they
presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
And being warned of God in a dream that they should not
return to Herod, they departed into their own country
another way. And when they were departed, behold, the angel
of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise,
and take the young child and his mother, and flee into
Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod
will seek the young child to destroy him. When he arose, he
took the young child and his mother by night, and departed
into Egypt: And was there until the death of Herod: that it
might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the
prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son."
(Matthew 2:11-15)

As I have mentioned in other articles, it seems to me that
Satan might not be aware of the future; that is, he is not
omnipresent, and thus cannot see into the future like God
can. As I explained in 'Satan: King Of Tyrus, King Of
Empires', being that he is a spiritual entity, I believe
that he is not subject to time or space. Thus, while he can
move through time, he is still always second-guessing God.
In fact, Jesus made it very clear that not even the angels
are aware of God's plans until He actually carries them out.
Consider these example Scriptures which prove this point:

"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels
of heaven, but my Father only." (Matthew 24:36)

"Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but
unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported
unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with
the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the
angels desire to look into." (1 Peter 1:12)

The fact that the angels desire to look into things reveals
that they must not know everything. In fact, contrary to
what some may think, once we have received our Resurrection
Bodies, we won't know everything yet either. We will still
be learning and growing spiritually in the Next Life. It is
for this very reason that we are told that God's whole Plan
of Salvation is a Mystery only meant to be understood by
those to whom He chooses to reveal it:

"In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank
thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid
these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed
them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in
thy sight." (Luke 10:21)

"And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the
mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are
without, all these things are done in parables:"
(Mark 4:11)

"For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of
this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits;
that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the
fulness of the Gentiles be come in." (Romans 11:25)

"Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my
gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the
revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the
world began," (Romans 16:25)

"But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the
hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our
glory:...But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:
for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of
God." (1 Corinthians 2:7, 10)

"Having made known unto us the mystery of his will,
according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in
himself:" (Ephesians 1:9)

"And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the
mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid
in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:"
(Ephesians 3:9)

"And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may
open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the
gospel," (Ephesians 6:19)

"Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from
generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:"
(Colossians 1:26)

"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the
glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in
you, the hope of glory:" (Colossians 1:27)

"That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together
in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of
understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God,
and of the Father, and of Christ;" (Colossians 2:2)

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen
of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the
world, received up into glory." (1 Timothy 3:16)

"But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he
shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished,
as he hath declared to his servants the prophets."
(Revelation 10:7)

In the Glorious Day when the seventh angel finally sounds
his trumpet, God's Mystery of Salvation will reach its
wonderful climax; and in that day, everyone will know and
understand it then. Some will shout for joy while others
will cower in fear:

"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but
we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an
eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the
dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be
changed." (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)

"But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren,
concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even
as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus
died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus
will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the
word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto
the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are
asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with
a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump
of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we
which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with
them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so
shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17)

For now though, there are many who through their sins of
pride, vanity, haughtiness and sinful rebellion, have had
their understanding darkened; so much so that they consider
the preaching of the Gospel to be utter foolishness and

"And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud
voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth
make thee mad." (Acts 26:24)

"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit
of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he
know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
(1 Corinthians 2:14)

"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish
foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of
God." (1 Corinthians 1:18)

"Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as
God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their
imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened."
(Romans 1:21)

"Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the
life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because
of the blindness of their heart:" (Ephesians 4:18)

Thus, it's possible that initially, Satan didn't realize the
'error' in his plan. After using the unbelieving Jews to
verbally persecuting Jesus throughout the duration of His
ministry, Satan finally influenced the Sanhedrin and Pontius
Pilate to crucify the Son of Man. Unbeknownst to him at the
time, he helped to accomplish exactly what had been a part
of the Mystery all along. In short, the Lord used Satan's
ignorance to bring about his own defeat. As Jesus said:

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might
have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be
of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)

While Jesus has indeed overcome not only the world, but even
Death itself, God's Mystery is still not fully accomplished.
In fact, according to the Scriptures, it appears that Jesus
has not yet taken full charge of His Kingdom. In a literal
sense, that really won't happen until He returns in all of
His Power and Glory to subdue Satan and all Earthly kingdoms
once and for all as the following verses reveal:

"And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye
which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of
man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit
upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
(Matthew 19:28)

"When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the
holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of
his glory:" (Matthew 25:31)

"Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words
in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall
the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of
his Father with the holy angels." (Mark 8:38)

The word 'regeneration' is quite interesting and has a very
profound meaning. It is translated from the Greek word
'paliggenesia' which is defined as new birth, reproduction,
renewal, recreation and regeneration. In a companion article
entitled 'The Allegory Of The Bride Of Christ', I discuss
some startling revelations concerning these topics. I hope
you will find time to read it. For now though, the main
point I wish to impress upon you is that Jesus Christ has
not yet assumed complete control of things. It is for this
reason that we are told that He is set down at the Right
Hand of God. He is God's right hand man, the next in

"Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We
have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of
the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;" (Hebrews 8:1)

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross,
despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of
the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:2)

Currently, Jesus does indeed have a position of great
authority; however, if my understanding is correct, it is
not the full degree of authority which He is yet to receive
in the near future:

"To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my
throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my
Father in his throne." (Revelation 3:21)

You see, it is His Father's Throne. In fact, if you read the
fourth and fifth chapters of the Book of Revelation, you
will see how The Lamb comes to the Throne of His Father and
takes the Book out of His Right Hand:

"And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a
book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven
seals...And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne
and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders,
stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and
seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth
into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the
right hand of him that sat upon the throne."
(Revelation 5:1, 6-7)

The Scriptures make clear that the Throne which God has
promised to His Son, is the Throne of David, which is an
Earthly Throne of an Earthly Kingdom:

"He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the
Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of
his father David:" (Luke 1:32)

"Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn
with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins,
according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on
his throne;" (Acts 2:30)

"But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever
and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy
kingdom." (Hebrews 1:8)

"Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in
heaven." (Matthew 6:10)

Notice that in the verse from Acts chapter two, Peter says
'according to the flesh'. Jesus was indeed born in the flesh
to become the Firstfruits of the Resurrection, that we might
follow in His footsteps in the First Resurrection:

"But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the
firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death,
by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in
Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But
every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits;
afterward they that are Christ's at his coming."
(1 Corinthians 15:20-23)

"For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth
in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves
also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we
ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption,
to wit, the redemption of our body." (Romans 8:22-23)

"Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we
should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures."
(James 1:18)

"These are they which were not defiled with women; for they
are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb
whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men,
being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb."
(Revelation 14:4)

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was
given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were
beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God,
and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image,
neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in
their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a
thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again
until the thousand years were finished. This is the first
resurrection." (Revelation 20:4-5)

While the above Scriptures clearly reveal the final outcome
of the Mystery of God, unless I am mistaken, Jesus has not
yet inherited the Throne of David. When He was here on the
Earth, He was simply laying the groundwork for His coming
Kingdom. As I said previously, He has already overcome the
world; and He has already overcome Death. Likewise, His
spiritual Kingdom has been being built since the First
Century. In fact, we are each helping to build it every time
we witness the Truth of God's Word to some lost soul. In
another sense, Jesus clearly told His First Disciples that
He had to go away in order to prepare a place for them:

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe
also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it
were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place
for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will
come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am,
there ye may be also." (John 14:1-3)

Thus, we again see that these things have not yet become a
physical reality, which is what God promised to Jesus AND to
us as well! He promised Him and us a physical Kingdom on
Earth; and that is exactly what is going to happen during
the Millennium and afterwards as I explained in my companion
article 'From Armageddon To The New Earth!'. What I didn't
explain there, because even I didn't realize it then, is
that it will be at that time that He inherits the Throne of
David His father. As far as I can tell, there are only two
things holding back the completion of the Mystery Of God,
and that is exactly what we have been talking about
throughout this article.

Right now there is a Usurper who is standing in the way of
things. Just as ancient Palestine was divided into
Ephraim and Judah, or Israel and Judah, each with their own
capitals of Samaria and Jerusalem, there are currently
two kingdoms vying for power, vying for control of this
planet; the Kingdom of Light, and the Kingdom of Darkness.
As we all know, the Kingdom of Darkness, led by its Prince
of Darkness, is currently in control of the physical
kingdom. Consider part of what Jesus said to Paul when He
gave him his life's commission that day He knocked him off
of his horse on the road to Damascus:

"To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to
light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may
receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them
which are sanctified by faith that is in me." (Acts 26:18)

There are many other Scriptures found in the Epistles which
show the sharp contrast between these two kingdoms. Here are
some of them:

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for
what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and
what communion hath light with darkness?"
(2 Corinthians 6:14)

"For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the
Lord: walk as children of light:" (Ephesians 5:8)

"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of
darkness, but rather reprove them." (Ephesians 5:11)

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places." (Ephesians 6:12)

"Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath
translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:"
(Colossians 1:13)

"Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the
day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness."
(1 Thessalonians 5:5)

"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy
nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the
praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his
marvellous light:" (1 Peter 2:9)

"Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is
true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and
the true light now shineth." (1 John 2:8)

In the world today, most people have become so blind and
spiritually dry, that they don't even realize what is going
on around them in the spiritual realm. As I have mentioned a
number of times before, we are in a real war! There is a
spiritual battle going on all around us! Jesus made this
very plain when He said:

"And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom
of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by
force." (Matthew 11:12)

I believe that the violence and the war that Jesus is
referring to concerns the completion of the Mystery of God.
The reason Jesus cannot yet claim His physical Throne and
His physical Kingdom is because He hasn't yet totally
defeated His Ultimate Foe; and He hasn't yet won all of
those souls which are supposed to be a part of His coming
Kingdom. This is exactly why Satan continues to war against
the Kingdom of Light; even though he knows he has already
been defeated. He is trying to hold on to his Earthly
Kingdom of Darkness as long as he can; and win as many souls
to it as he possibly can. While it may surprise you, Satan
is a soul-winner! When he is finally defeated, he wants to
take as many lost souls with him as he possibly can!
Remember what I have been saying all along; he is the
Destroyer, the Spoiler, the Robber of God's Kingdom of
Light! Jesus spoke all about this when He said:

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the
door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the
same is a thief and a robber...All that ever came before me
are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them...
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to
destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they
might have it more abundantly." (John 10:1, 8, 10)

Satan wants to kill you both physically and spiritually by
deceiving you into making the wrong choice. As Moses said to
the Children of ancient Israel:

"See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and
death and evil;...I call heaven and earth to record this day
against you, that I have set before you life and death,
blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou
and thy seed may live:" (Deuteronomy 30:15, 19)

Are you wise enough to choose the Way of Life by accepting
and believing in the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ? Please
consider the following verses:

"The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart
from hell beneath." (Proverbs 15:24)

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
(John 14:6)

Just as Jesus continues to build His Kingdom day by day in a
spiritual sense through the souls which we win to Him, Satan
is likewise busy building his physical Kingdom of Darkness
on Earth for the day when he will finally get his chance to
reveal himself IN THE FLESH as Satan, King of Tyrus, King of
Empires! This is why we find someone in the second chapter
of Thessalonians, (whom I believe to be Michael), hindering
Satan from accomplishing his purpose. Once Satan incarnates
as a real man, as the Son of Perdition, as the Son of
Destruction, as the Son of Satan, time is very short!
Therefore, Michael the Archangel is withstanding him,
holding him back, hindering Satan from getting his final
wish; a human body! Remember what Peter tells us:

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men
count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not
willing that any should perish, but that all should come to
repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)

God is holding back these things as long as possible for our
benefit, and especially for the benefit of the unsaved; many
of which continue to fight against Him due to ignorance and
the hardness of their evil unrepentant hearts! Are you one
of them? I certainly hope not! Wake up before it is too
late! You only have one lifetime to choose; and after that
it is all over!:

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this
the judgment:" (Hebrews 9:27)

Thus far, we have seen that Satan is the ruler of this
world. He is the Prince of the Power of the Air. He controls
the atmospheric heavens around the Earth. In fact, from the
verses I am going to share shortly, it appears that he may
still be able to ascend to the Courts of Heaven were he
accuses the Saints of the Most High, just as we saw in the
book of Job earlier. However, unless I am mistaken, someday
soon, things are going to change abruptly! I have already
given various examples in both the Old and New Testaments
where we specifically find the Archangel Michael hindering
or holding back demonic forces to keep them from
accomplishing some goal or purpose. Here then is the final
great battle in which we find Michael and his companions
courageously fighting a violent battle against none other
than Satan himself and his Demons of Darkness; just as they
have been doing for thousands of years in Earth time:

"And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought
against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in
heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent,
called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole
world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were
cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in
heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom
of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of
our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God
day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the
Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not
their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens,
and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the
earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you,
having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a
short time." (Revelation 12:7-12)

All of these thousands of years, Satan has been allowed into
the heavenlies, before the very Throne of God in fact, but
here we see that the time has finally come for him to be
cast out permanently. While he has been ruling the Earth all
of this time, it doesn't appear that he has been too happy
about it. As we saw in 'Satan: King of Tyrus, King Of
Empires!', Lucifer has always had higher aspirations; that
is, to sit in the very Throne of the Almighty! It seems that
he is so upset about his lowly Earthly Kingdom, that he
spends a lot of his time in the Halls of Heaven telling the
Lord how bad and how undeserving we humans are of His Divine
Love and Mercy. He wants to see us destroyed! That is why he
is called 'the accuser of our brethren'. When the above
incident occurs, it appears that it will signify that one of
the prerequisites for Christ's Second Coming, and the
completion of the Mystery of God, will have finally been
accomplished; and that is the following:

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the
world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end
come." (Matthew 24:14)

For the Lord to finally cast out Satan seems to imply that
He is rather satsified with the job we have been doing down
here as His chosen mouthpieces; so He is about to bring
things to a close. However, the Greatest Show on Earth isn't
quite over yet. There is still a final harvest of souls to
reap; and evil men have to be allowed to completely fill up
their cup of iniquity so that the Lord's judgments against
them will be righteous judgments. It seems to me that it
might be at this point, following the final battle in the
heavenlies between Michael and Satan, that we enter the
battle scene in the second chapter of Paul's second Epistle
to the Thessalonians. I am wondering if perhaps the battle
has simply moved from the Heavenly Realm to the Earthly
realm where it continues for some time. I have already
presented clear evidence that angelic forces do indeed fight
upon the Earth. Another example can be found in the
following story of Joshua, whose name is the Hebrew
equivalent of the Greek word 'Iesous', which is translated
into English as Jesus, meaning 'Jehovah is Salvation':

"And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he
lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a
man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and
Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or
for our adversaries? And he said, Nay; but as captain of the
host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face
to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith
my lord unto his servant? And the captain of the LORD'S host
said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the
place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.
(Joshua 5:13-15)

We can only wonder if this might not have been the Archangel
Michael as well; after all, in all of the examples we have
looked at in this article, it certainly seems like he is in
charge of the Lord's Host; that is, His Celestial Army.
Following is yet another clear example of how God's Heavenly
Forces do battle on the Earth:

"And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are
more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and
said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And
the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and,
behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire
round about Elisha." (2 Kings 6:16-17)

Based on the above examples, I am going to suggest the
possibility that once Satan and his Demonic Horde are kicked
out of Heaven for the final time and cast to the Earth;
Michael and his Army may have to follow them to Earth to
complete their assignment. Perhaps what we are witnessing in
the second chapter of Thessalonians is that Michael is
holding back Satan a little longer, and preventing him from
incarnating physically as the Antichrist until certain
events have been completed concerning the Saints of the Most
High. For example, perhaps this is when the Servants of the
Lord are sealed for their protection. After all, we know
that the political Beast will be forcing everyone to receive
his mark as well; so maybe Michael is holding back Satan
until this is accompished.

We need to remember that all of these different characters
of the Endtime will be on the world stage at about the same
time. This includes the Beast, the False Prophet, 'Moshiach
ben David' the Jewish False Messiah, and the ten Middle East
governments of the Endtime known as the Ten Horns. Another
reason why Michael might be holding back the Jewish False
Messiah is because certain souls haven't been saved yet
which the Lord is still waiting on. These ideas are merely
speculations on my part, as I really don't know for sure.
What Paul does make clear is that the main reason Michael is
withholding Satan from incarnating as the Jewish
Antichrist, is so 'that he might be revealed in his time';
and we know that God has His perfect timetable for

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every
purpose under the heaven:" (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

With this last thought, I have now provided all of the
information I have found which points to the possibility of
the Archangel Michael being the one who is currently holding
back the revelation of the Son of Perdition, the Son of
Destruction, the Son of Satan, the Jewish False Messiah.
While the evidence seems quite convincing to me, I will
leave it up to you the reader to decide for yourself as is
my custom. As one of God's little Word weavers, I merely try
to bring together the different pieces of the CrossWord
puzzle in a way which seems to make sense. Of course, I am
not infallible; I am only human; but hopefully one who is
being led by the Spirit of God. I pray that this article
has been an encouragement and a blessing to many.
